The time when the past became the future [SNOWBARRY]

Part 2: Lies

The next morning Barry wakes up to see that Iris is already gone. He decides to go check if Gwen is still asleep and then go make breakfast. He walks upstairs and into the guest room where he sees Gwen peacefully sleeping. He walks back and makes breakfast for the both of them. Some time after he's done making it he hears Gwen yawning and he turns around to see her walk down the stairs.

"Hello my sleepy princess." He says with a chuckle.

She immediately smiles when she sees him and says. "Hi dad! What's for breakfast?"

"I made you some pancakes." He says while giving her a plate with a couple of them. "I forgot to ask if you drink coffee so I didn't make any for you but if you want some I can make you some right now."

"Oh it's fine actually the person that I'm staying with in the future never lets me drink coffee." She says.

"But right now you're staying with me so if you'd like to try some, just ask." He says sitting down on the chair.

"Thanks dad." She says smiling and then sits down aswell.

They talk for some time while eating and after they are done they decide to go to Star Labs together. When they arrive they enter the cortex to see Caitlin staring at a computer screen.

"Working already huh?" Barry asks jokingly.

"Yeah I decided to go early to work today." She answers not letting her eyes off the screen.

"Can I get you some coffee? You look really tired." He asks with a worried look on his face.

"Sure." She says with a smile on her face.

"Do you want something too Gwen?" Barry asks turning his head to his daughter. She nods to him and he rans off to Jitters.

"Hey Gwen, I didn't notice you here." Caitlin said sweetily looking at her.

"Hi Auntie Cait." She said in excitement. "What are you working on?"

"Oh it's just some science stuff." She says.

"Well then maybe I can help you with it." Gwen says sitting down next to her. "I am a criminalist in my time."

"Wait, didn't you say you were 17?" She says making Gwen giggle.

"I will be 18 in a month actually, but anyways let's just say I am a fast learner." She says.

"Hey I'm back." he says giving the two their coffee. "What are you two working on?" he asks curiously sitting down

"It's not that important." Caitlin says. "What is important now is that DNA test." She says getting her coffee from Barry.

"Actually about that..." Gwen says. "You can't find out who my mother is."

"Isn't Iris your mother?" Barry asks shocked.

"I never said she isn't." Gwen says realizing her mistake.

"She isn't is she?!" Barry asks her angry.

"Yes... Iris West isn't my mother" she says looking down.

"So I cheated on her! And YOU are the proof that I did!" he says getting up.

"NO dad! You never cheated on her! It was the exact reverse of what you just said!" she says running off in tears.

"I'm gonna go talk to her..." After a long silence Barry says walking off.

"No you are not." Caitlin says stopping him. "I am going to do that because you Bartholomonew Henry Allen just basically called your daughter a mistake!" She yells at him before walking off.

"What have I done..." he says to himself and starts crying.

He decides to wait in the cortex for either Caitlin, Gwen or Cisco. Meanwhile Caitlin is trying to find Gwen. She is looking for her all over Star labs. She eventually finds her sitting in the speed lab on the treadmill.

"You know, your father always came here when he felt sad or angry." she said sitting down next to her.

"Do you think he meant those things?" Gwen asks her with tears in her eyes.

"Oh Gwen I am sure he didn't mean it." She says. "Your father is an amazing man but he doesn't think straight when he's sad or angry."

"You care about him too am I right?" Gwen asks her.

"Ofcourse I do, he is my best friend after all." She says.

"I didn't mean it this way..." Gwen says looking at her. "You love him don't you?"

"I..I..." She tries to deny it but no words come out of her mouth. I love him... she thinks to herself.

"I do" She finally answers and starts looking down at her feet in embarrassment.

"Can.. Can we go back to your father now?" She asks trying to get out of this embarrassing conversation.

"Ofcourse." Gwen replies to Caitlin's relief.

They walk back and see a young girl standing with her back to them talking to Barry. They try to walk up to the cortex to listen to what she was saying but Barry's relieved expression gives them away and the girl turns around and when she sees them she runs away at super speed leaving yellow and light blue lightning. When she gets away the 2 of them run up to Barry and ask him what happened and he starts to explain.

[5 minutes before]

Barry sits in the cortex when he sees a young girl walking into the room.

"Who are you? How did you get in?" He asks confused.

"It doesn't matter." she says and puts him in meta-cuffs in superspeed. "Don't worry I am not going to hurt you I need your help." she says seeing him worried.

"You're a speedster..." He says.

"Just like you Flash." She says.

"What do you want from me?" Barry asks confused and kind of scared.

"Like I said I need your help." She says. "An evil speedster travelled back in time and I am trying to stop her."

"Wait... do you mean Ava West-Thawne?" He asks even more confused.

"Yes how do you know about her?" She asks surprised.

"My daughter Gwen Allen travelled back in time to stop her but she said that this speedster travelled back in time to 3 years from now." He answers.

"Thank you for your help Flash, you really are a hero." She says smiling and uncuffs him before realising that Caitlin and Gwen are behind her so she runs away.

[Present Time]

"So did she say what her name was?" Gwen asks her father

"Unfortunately... no" He answers with a sad look on his face "And I am really sorry Gwen. I didn't mean any of those things so I hope that one day you will forgive me"

Gwen doesn't answer and just hugs him. She says I love you and they decide to spend the night at Star labs.
