*If you do watch the show and have not read the comics, this may spoil somethings. I'm not sure if the creators of the show are sticking to the original comics, but that's what I'm going off of, sorry if I spoil the show, but hey, how am I to know what they're writing?*

Weeks and weeks passed, each day passing slowly right behind the next. Our rations had begun to run low, Winter was coming and nobody knew how we could survive it. We met people, we let some join, we met others who were a threat to our survival, they didn't live to see the next day. It seemed like everyday someone was considering suicide, it seemed like this would just last forever. Judith was now bigger, she learned to walk, Rick refused to put any weapons near her, some had suggested she learn early, those people didn't live to see the next day either.

Carl and I were wandering around one day, just goofing a bit, when we found it, our new home: Alexandria. We went back to our group and led them to the gates, Rick wasn't keen on the idea of trusting the people, but Michonne eventually convinced him.  Not even a week passed, and Rick killed a guy, Jessie's husband. He seemed like a nice guy, until Carol told me he beat Jessie. That same day, Daryl came back with a man named Morgan. Him and Rick seemed to know each other, I tried asking Rick about it, but all he would say was Morgan saved him. Life was good, Carl and i figured out what the month and year was, the time. We realized we had spent almost two years together in the apocalypses. Which meant I was 19, and Carl was turning 19 soon enough. Rick and Daryl grew more tired, yet more hostile, more willing to kill. Carol had feared that this place would make us weaker, because the people didn't know what we knew.

When we first arrived, we were dirty, scarred, probably pretty smelly, and not as easy-going as everyone else. Rick was put on lock down multiple times, Glenn fought, Daryl broke up the fights, Sasha was loosing her mind after Bob and Tyreese were lost on a run, Carol was back to her old duties but still remained herself, if only everyone else had made it here.

As soon as we all settled down, the Wolves attacked. They were another group, much like the Governor, but this time, a whole bunch of him. They waged war on Alexandria, and we fought back, The original people were hesitant, but when the Wolves made it clear they were here for blood, and wouldn't let anyone get away, they picked up guns and fought along side of us. In the middle of the war, another group began to attack both us and the wolves, it became such an outrageous thing, we could no longer accept people due to the fear of another spy.

While out on a run, Daryl almost killed himself trying to save me. He took a hit in the shoulder and I had to carry him all the way back to camp, while almost dying, twice. Death tolls were high, people were killing us more than Walkers were.

The virus was getting worse and worse, everyone was giving up hope, until one day, the two groups, disappeared. This gave the people of Alexandria hope, something they once had, but lost. We began taking people in, we began expanding. Michonne and Maggie went to a town about a mile down the road, they became the mayors of it. Rick stayed in Alexandria, where he had control over the main town. Carl and I left, at the time we were both 20, we began repairing a new town, a gated community where to gain citizenship, all you had to do, was answer three questions.

Carl became a blacksmith, and I took over the main rule of the town, with Daryl as my right hand man. Our once tightly bonded group dispersed into the three towns, but we all kept close in touch.
Judith would travel between Rick and Carl, but since Carl worked in the blacksmith all day, Daryl and I took care of her. She started to call me Mommy, Rick flinched the first time he heard it, but eventually let Judith call me Mommy, but he knew one day he'd have to tell her what happened to Lori.

My mother on the other hand was killed by a Walker, even though she would have allowed my brothers to kill me, it stung. That was the woman who took care of me, she helped me grow. My Father showed up at my gates weeks later, and I let him in. My brothers on the other hand, were killed while out on a hunt, Daryl and I watched it happen. When I went to check on them, they apologized, for everything, leaving me in a puddle of tears in the middle of the woods.

We aren't exactly living, we're surviving. That's not the main intention of life, but that's what it's come down to. Everyday we're met with new and old struggles. Maybe there won't ever be a cure, but for now, that's not what we're focused on. We're not scientists, we're just a bunch of random strangers that started by surviving together, but formed a friendship that would never break. We're not humans anymore, we like to consider ourselves, The Walking Dead
