WHEN ROSELYN WALKED into her house she smelt the sweet scent of cinnamon. Her face immediately scrunched in confusion and shut the front door. Her eyes glanced down to the floor and found another set of shoes laying on the rug.

She smiled slightly and stepped over the shoes to walk further into her house. She took the corner and seen Hazel sitting on her couch with a box of cinnamon rolls and two coffees.

Hazel and Roselyn has been best friends since they were kids. They were inseparable during their high school years of Chilton and when they both took business school together. Hazel was the only person—besides for her boyfriend Benji and Danielle—to know the whole truth about what happened with Roselyn and John.

Due to their strong bond, it wasn't exactly surprising to see one another in each others houses without knowing. They did give each other keys to their homes for a reason.

Roselyn's smile grew as she purposely made her footsteps louder. Hazels attention moved from the large t.v that was playing friends to the women now standing in the doorway of her living room. She grinned wickedly at her and jumped over the couch to crush her in a hug.

A surprised noise left Roselyn's mouth as she wrapped her arms around Hazels shoulders and was lifted off the ground. Once Hazel let go, she still held the huge grin on her face but didn't utter a word.

"What's got you so happy?" Roselyn asked, oblivious to the news she was about to get.

"i'm getting married."

Roselyn's eyes widened as she said those words. Hazel shoved her hand in front of her face, showing off her shiny engagement ring. Roselyn's mouth opened wide "oh my god!"

The two pulled each other in for another hug as they jumped around Roselyn's living room.

"I can't believe your getting married!" Roselyn squealed, pulling Hazel down with her to sit on the couch. "Where did he propose? Was it romantic? When did this happen?" she couldn't help the questions pouring out of her mouth.

Hazel smiled, her cheeks a light tint of pink as they made theirselves comfortable. "Well.." she started, handing Roselyn her cup of coffee "It happened this weekend. Ben and I spent the entire weekend in New York. He took me out for dinner at this fancy restaurant and just as we were served dessert, he bent down on one knee and proposed!"

"I'm so happy for you guys." Roselyn gushed "Where's Benjamin?"

"Thanks, he's at Jamie's now. Asking him to be his best man." Hazel couldn't help but gloat "but I've got a serious question to ask you."

Roselyn gave her a excited look as if to say continue.

"Will you be my maid of honor?"

"hell yeah!"

Hazel smiled before taking a sip of her coffee. She stopped drinking it once she realized she forgot to mention an important thing. She must've been to focused on her excitement to remember it before now.

"I know it's early, but I know exactly where I want the wedding to be."

"already?"

Hazel nodded, "Yeah. Me and Ben were talking about it and we want our weeding to be at the independence Inn. Is that doable?"

Roselyn smiled and placed a reassuring hand on her best friends shoulder "don't worry, i'll take care of everything. You just soak all this sappy shit up with your fiancé."

STUDENTS WERE COMING out of the school one by one as the bell rang. Normally, Roselyn would have a grimace on her face because of seeing this place again, however she couldn't help the grin on her lips as she leaned up against her car next to Lorelai who was doing the same thing.

Lorelai seemed like she was in a horrible mood. She didn't answer any calls when Roselyn was checking to see if she needed a ride, and she barely said a few words when they arrived at Chilton. It was probably something to do with their mother, Emily Gilmore is one of the only people to get Lorelai in a terrible mood.

So, instead of bringing up wedding stuff right now, Roselyn kept the smile on her face as she waited for the two teens to make their way out of the school. It wasn't even two minutes later and she seen Rory and Danielle coming out of the school.

Both girls faces looked completely opposite. Rory looked exhausted as she threw her bag on the ground and ran to her mother for a hug. Danielle on the other hand looked like she just won a million dollar prize.

The young blonde ran over to her mother and crashed into her for a hug. "I've got so much to
tell you."

"So do I." Roselyn grinned, dragging her daughter over to the car and then getting in herself. "How was your day?"

"I spent most of my time with Izzy." she shrugged, but then a smile grew back on her face "and the boys there are cute."

Roselyn had a knowing smile on her face "any boys in particular?"

"maybe..." Danielle dragged out, thinking about the hot she met earlier. Tristan. "what did you want to tell me?"

Roselyn smirked, turning to look at her daughter "Hazel and Benji are getting married!"

"Holy shit!" Danielle laughed "you're serious?"

Roselyn turned the car on and started driving out of the parking lot. "Yeah, Hazel came over earlier while you were in school and told me. They want the wedding at the Independence Inn."

Danielle relaxed her back against the passenger seat with a small smile playing on her lips. "It always felt like Aunt Hazel and Uncle Benji were married anyway."

"Yeah." Roselyn couldn't help but agree with her. "But, you get to be a bridesmaid and I get to be the maid of honor."

"Am I invited to the bachelorette party?..." The teen slyly asked, knowing that there was indeed going to be a party when Roselyn and Hazel were involved.

Roselyn chuckled lightly to herself, "of course."
