Hey there, my name is Skyler Roberts. I was born on the 23rd of July, I'm 16 years old. My mum raised me all by herself as my real father left me as soon as he found out that my mum fell pregnant with me. My mum struggled a lot. We don't have a lot of money and we live in a tiny two bedroom flat on the shady part of London.
School, or hell as I like to call it, is the worst part of my day. My mum can't afford to buy me the nicest and trendiest clothes but I still appreciate all that she does for me as I see how hard she works to provided everything that I have today. Due to me not having modern clothing I get severely bullied by the queen bees. Alison, the main bitch, has made my life a living hell since pre-school. Even at a young age she was a horrible, spoilt brat. She has her little followers, Natasha and Emily. To be honest with you, they actually use to be alright, but now they will do everything Alison tells them to do so that they stay popular. It's a bit sad seeing how much trouble teenagers go through every day just so that they are popular. It's a bit pathetic don't you think?
I've been working since the age of 13.
I started of working as a waitress after school and on the weekends at a small cafe to help my mum pay the bills and so that she can relax a little bit more.
The cafe doesn't pay a lot but any bit of income that we receive will be a big help. It's a difficult and stressful job but I will do anything for my mum just like I know my mum would do for me.
You might be thinking though, how can I balance a social life, school and a job. Well let me explain,
Firstly, I don't really have a social life as I basically have one friend called Maya. She totally understands that I don't really have time because I've explained my situation to her and so she helps me study for any tests that I have which leads me to the second point, school.
Surprisingly. I do really well in school. I'm a straight A student which could be because I have really good memory and I pick things up really easily at school. I want to get into a really good university so that I can do my mum proud and be able to get a good job so that my mum doesn't have to work this hard every again. I also want to provide my future family a comfortable life so that they don't have to suffer like I did.
And lastly with my job, my boss totally understands and so I get a big amount of the tips that we receive which is a massive help. She's an old friend of my mums so she's like a second mum to me. She's always there to help me out which I really appreciate.
Now that's a bit about my life, here's a bit more about me.
As you know I'm 16. I have long blonde hair with pink and purple dip dye. I have a natural tan and big green eyes.
I'm 5ft8 so average height. I'm not the prettiest girl in the world but I'm not the ugliest either. I'm your average everyday girl I guess. There's nothing special about me.
I love rock and metal. Bands like; pierce the veil, asking Alexandria, of mice and men, avenged sevenfold, sleeping with sirens, bring me the horizon and stuff like that.
