Chapter 2

I woke up to a loud bang and saw my my door was open and Alpha was standing in the doorway. I looked at the ground and got up from the mattress. "Clean this entire house. I dont any dirt or dust in this house. Then make something delicious for our guest coming later thus evening. If anything goes wrong, you will be punished." Alpha saud then walked out. I quickly made myself look as decent as possible and got to work. I started with the first floor.

I swept, mopped and cleaned every decoration in the house such as the vases, picture frames and tables. The house was two stories, not to mention it is a mansion and had a lot of rooms. As I was cleaning, some of the guards, made a mess and so did Lily. Alpha's daughter. She and her friend followed me making dirt and throwings things around.

I had to clean more than I was supposed to and I was getting sick of this. I was about to put everything away when Lily dumped a bottle of water on the ground. "Clean it up slut." She said. I kept my head downand cleaned the mess. One of the guards fetched Lily and her friends and they finally left. Lily was eighteen and spoiled. She hated me for what reason? I dont know. She made ut her mission to make my life hell.

She is mostly the cause of all my bruises and scars. After I finished cleaning up the mess I went to my room to clean myself before I went to the kitchen. I washed of all the dirt I had on me and shook all the dust out of my clothes. Once I finished, I made my way to the litchen and tried to think of something to make. Alpha didnt give a request for anything specific. I took out some chicken, potatoes, a bag of rice and tjns of sweet corn.

Since Cain is coming, I might make something worth eating. I thought to myself. I would usually make spaghetti or stew. If this meal was not good. I would get punished. If our guest were unhappy, I would get punished.

The thought of my mate not being one of the Alphas brought tears to my eyes. I quickly whipped it away and went back to cooking. I made the rice, chicken and potatoes. I made the chicken with my special sauce that I only use when I would secretly make my own meal. It gave the chicken a flavour that is to die for. I cooked the chicken and dished the sweetcorn into a bowl to put on the table.

Once I was done in the kitchen, I set the table. I placed down the plates and utensils for everyone and glasses for their drinks. There was still time before the guest arrived so I went back to my room to take another look at my file. I was about to take the file out when two guards walked in. "Hello girl." One of them said. It was Thomas and Brandon. Alpha's nephews. They would beat me up for no reason. I thought they were gone for the month.

"We missed you." Brandon said. Beforr anything else was said, Thomas punched me hard in the stomach. When I fell they took the opportunity to kick me continuously. Brandon kicked me in the eye and I screamed in pain. I stopped myself and endured the pain and torture. What did I do to deserve this? When Brandon and Thomas felt like they were satisfied with their work they left.

They slammed the door shut and I tried to stand up but I couldn't. The door opened again and I knew it was Alpha. "Clean yourself up. Be downstairs in five minutes." He said and walked out. I forced myself up and got ready. When Alpha says five minutes, he literally means five minutes.

I cleaned mtself but winced everytime. I looked at my face and my eye was purple. I was holding my hair brush and it snapped. My blood boiled. I was angry. One day they will all pay for their sins. I took my broken brush and brushed my hair to the front to cover my bruised eye. My hair stopped at my wait but it was dirty and curly. I made a low ponytail so my hair could cover my eye.

Went down stairs and walked into the kitchen. I warmed the food then placed it on the dining table. Alpha and Luna were wearing there best outfits. The doorbell rang and one of the other servants opened. They walked into the dining room and I stayed behind Alpha with my head down. They all took a seat and I could tell that Alpha was smiling.

"Thank you all for coming. Please help yourself." He said and gestured to the table. They all started to eat and I stayed silent. I had to stand next to Alpha and watch them eat. I glanced up and saw that some of the alphas were looking at me.

"Who's the girl?" One of them asked. He had a deep husky voice. I looked at him and he had blonde hair and green eyes. Alpha Jake. Alpha glanced at me then looked back at hus guests.

"She is my pet basically." Alpha said. It took all of my energy bot to slap him. Some of the Alphas smiled but Alpha Cain and Alpha Jake didnt. They looked at me with pity. I noticed that Luna was tensed since she was sitting next to Alpha Cain. They went silent as they were eating and I saa Cain taking glancing at me everytime he could.

Alpha can had black hair and ocean blue eyes. He had his muscles under his clothes but I could clealry see it. "Can we go to business now?" Alpha Cain asked but with his tone, it seemed he demanded it. Alpha looked nervous and actually agreed.

They started talking about pack business. Being allies if war with vampires or rogues ever came to be or to be allies and help in time of need that were different than war. Alpha Cain was the only one who seemed uninterested. It seemed like he was looking at Alpha but he was actually looking at me.

Our eyes met and my heart raced. I kept my emotionless expression but Cain watched me. Alpha was talking when Cain interrupted. "Whats your name girl?" He asked me. This time my heart raced cause of my anxiety. Alpha looked then at Cain.

"She doesnt have a name. We call her girl." He answered. Cain gave Alpha a look of annoyance.

"I wasnt asking you." He said and looked at me. "What is your name?" He asked again. I stayed silent and so did everyone else. I turned my head to Alpha but looked at the ground. He gave me the go ahead to speak.

"Girl." I said. Cain didn't look happy when he got the same answer. I kept my head down and Alpha cleared his throat.

"Well this was fun. We shall leave now." One of the other Alphas said. They all stood up and said their goodbyes.

"Let me show you out." Alpha said. I stayed in my spot as Alpha showed eveyone out. Cain stayed behind. Luna followed Alpha.

Cain walked closer to me and I took a few steps back. His scent was intoxicating. In a good way. "Look at me." He said. I didnt want to. He lifted my head and forced me to look at him. Our eyes met and his touch made sparks ignite on my skin. I liked this feeling. Something was pulling me to him. He seemed to be different.

"What's going on here?"
