Chapter 5

Its been two days since Cain brought me to hus pack house. He insisted I stay in bed till I felt better. The thing I heard about him were true. He is kind and caring towards those he loves. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and took off my clothes. All my bandages were off. Feeling the warm water run down my body felt so relaxing.

After my shower, I dried off and got the clothes Cain left for me. It was a pair of jeans and a red top. There was a red hoodie too and a pair of black white sneakers. I got dressed and then dried my hair. I got a brush and brushed out all the tangles and knots. Cain bought me a hair dryer and I used it to dry my hair. When my hair was dry I couldn't believe what I saw in the mirror.

My black curly hair was now wavy and clean. I brushed my hair again then tied it in a messy bun. I got hungry and walked out the room. I looked aeound and saw no one. I walked down the flught of stairs and looked for the kitchen. I hope Cain doesn't mind. I found the kitchen and looked through the fridge and cabinets.

I found some leftover fried chicken and salad. I looked aeound to see if anyone was here. I looked for a plate and eventually found it. "Hello." I screamed in fright and dropped the plate. It crashed on the ground and broke. No no no no no.

I started to pick it up but someone stipped me. I looked up to see Cain. His eyes were completely black. He looked at the person standing there and let out a growl. "Leave." Cain growled out. The person left and I continued to pick up the broken pieces. "Elara stop. Your gonna hurt yourself." He said.

"Im so sorry." I said. Cain helped me off the ground and I looked at him in his eyes. They were back to their original colour.

"Its not your fault." He sid and pulled me into a hug. Cain got a broom and cleane dup the mess while I sat their and watched. He got me something to eat and llaced the plate in front of me and a glass of water. I looked at the food then at Cain. "You can eat Elara." Cain said. I started to the feed and Cain just watched me. I felt like he wanted to ask me a question.

"Is there something you want to ask?" Cain looked at me and smiled. Was I not supposed to asked that? Stupid.

"Its just. Your not in Blood cove anymore. Here you can do whatever you want. No one will hurt you." Cain said. "Why are you still scared?" He asked. I stopped eating and looked down.

"I guess I have to get use to the new life style." I said and forced a smile. Cain hugged me and I hugged him back.

Cain then asked questions about me. I answered most of them but the ones I wasn't comfortable with I didnt answer. Cain looked hurt at some of my answers cause there were still some stuff I was unaware of. Like he asked me if liked pizza. Yeah, I didn't know what that was. Cain was in full shock and the next thing I knew he bought the pizza.

I looked at it and it was bread covered in cheese. I could smell the meat on it though. "Try it." He said. I took a slice and tasted it. I took another bite and another. Pizza was so good.

"This is amazing." I said. I took another sluce and Cain just laughed. He went silent and I knew he had another question. "Just ask. Dont stay silent." I said. He chuckled and took a deep breath.

"Do you want to meet my family?" He asked. I looked at him blankly not sure of what to say. I dont trust anyone but Cain right now so I wasn't sure. Cain looked at me, waiting for an answer. I fidnt want to make him sad or mad.

"Uhh... sure. Why not." I said. Cain smiled and kissed me on the cheek.

"Great. They are going to love you and your going to love them." He said. He looked so happy while I was scared to the bone. "I have to take care of something real quick. Ill be back. We can all have dinner together so prepare yourself." He said. I nodded and he walked off.

The so called ruthless Alpha is like a puppy around me. I dont want to disappoint him. I made my way back to the room and closed the door. I saw a blue knee-long dress on the bed. Looks like he prepared for this. I relaxed on the bed for a while and then got ready.

Cain's pov

I prepared the dinner table and walked into the living room. My parents and sister walked in. "Hi Cain." My mother greeted. I gave her a hug and greeted my father. "So where is she?" My mother asked excited.

"She is getting ready. Also, she is a bit jumpy so be gentle and dont talk to loud." I said. I had noticed that Elara was jumpy and scared of loud things. I walked up the stairs and towards my room. I knocked on the door and walked in. "Princess, you ready?" I asked. I saw her standing in the middle of the room.

The navy blue dress I bought her fit perfectly. Her hair was long and she wasnt wearing any makeup which showed me her natural beauty. She gave me a small smile nd walked towards me. "You look beautiful." I told her. She blushed and hugged me.

"Thank you for the dress." She said. I took her hand and lead her down the stairs. We walked into the living and when Elara saw my family she hid behind me. I chuckled.

"Elara. This is my parents." I showed her. She peaked out from behind me and my parents waved at her. My mother walked closer and Elara held onto my arm.

"Hello sweetheart. My name is Fiona. Im Cain's mom. You dont have to hide." My mom said. Elara was about to stand next to me when she saw my father and stayed on her spot. I looked at my father and gestured for him to talk to her.

"Im Hudson. I can assure you we mean no harm. We just wanted to meet you." My father said. Elara stepped out from behind me but held my arm tight. My sister Bella walked towards Elara with a smile.

"Im this idiot's sister Bella. Believe me when I say he is just a softy." Bella said, whispering the last part but I heard it. Elara giggled and Im glad she was warming up to them. "Now lets eat. Im hungry." Bella said and waled to the dining room and the rest of us followed.
