It was the morning of Thursday, March 14th. At Tori's House, Tori, Trina, and her mom were having breakfast. They sat around the table together, ready to start the day.
"Mom, you make the best pancakes ever," Tori said with a smile, as she stuffed herself.
"Why thank you, Tori!" Holly said, obviously pleased.
"Pass the syrup," Trina told her sister.
A moment later, Tori's phone rang. Tori handed her sister the bottle of syrup, then grabbed the ringing phone out of her pocket. She looked to see who was calling. Cat's name was dancing on the screen.
"Oh, it's Cat. Let me take this," Tori excused herself as she got up to answer the call. "What's up?"
"I tried to text you but you weren't responding," Cat squealed.
"What?" Tori asked curiously, as she checked her messages. "Holy- that's a lot of messages. Why? What's up?"
"Well, let's get into the group," Cat said.
"Um, sure?" Tori replied, unsure. She got herself to the living room and went into their usual DMs.
Tori: So what's so important?
Beck: Yeah, what's up Cat?
Cat: You won't believe what I just heard.
Jade: Humor me.
Cat: Well I heard from a friend of a friend...of a friend. And they heard Festus saying that war has started up in Yerba yet again.
Jade: That's a lot of friends.
Cat: Jade, that's not the point!
Tori: Yerba. Not a name or place I want to be reminded of. But what's that got to do with us?
Cat: Well, I heard that they were sending out spies!
Andre: Wait, what?
Tori: What's the spies got to do with us?
Tori was right to be worried about spies after what had happened in Yerba. They had found themselves in trouble when...
Cat: We escaped Yerba, remember?
Jade: Whoopee.
Robbie: Cat, that was two years ago.
Cat: Robbie, you should be the most scared. You killed his squid err..okkatapus.
Robbie: It was an accident, remember?
Tori: Like it was an accident that I blinded the Chancellor...but I don't think that we have to be worried...right guys?
Cat: ...
Jade: Probably not. You'd think the Chancellor would have better things to do than chase students all around Hollywood.
Tori: You're probably right, Jade. Like he and his men would ever come here to America. Puh-leez.
Cat: It's either that or my friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend is lying.
Tori sat there thinking, nerves crawling over her. What if the spies would get them? Would they have to go back to prison when they were falsely accused?
Jade: Wow. That's a lot to think about. I guess I'll see you guys at school.
Andre: IKR? Yeah, see you there
Tori: Mhm. Cya.
As everyone went offline, Trina walked into the living room. "So what did Cat have to say?" she asked.
"Cat thinks that there are spies here in LA," Tori started.
"Pfft, spies?" Trina asked. "What? From Russia or something?"
"No...from Yerba," Tori said.
Trina looked at her suddenly."You're kidding, right?" she asked again, and Tori shook her head. "OMG, do you think they're here for us?"
"Cat told me that she heard from a friend of a friend... Oh, nevermind!" Tori said, flustered. "Anyways, she said that she heard war started back up in Yerba again."
"Do we need to go into hiding or something?" Trina asked.
"What? No!" Tori said, though she privately thought that was a good idea. "It's way too early for that.. Plus the spies aren't here for us.. If there are any spies at all."
"If you say so.." Trina trailed off. "I'm going to school. Are you coming?"
"Yeah," Tori said as she gathered her things.
Tori updated her status on TheSlap to read: "I don't want to go back to Yerba - MOOD = Worried".
