It's a warm sunny afternoon, almost golden hour, in the busy city of New York, and one 18 year old is not having the best day so far.

"FUCK!-" Mya exclaimed as she jumps out of her rolling seat. She then rushes away from her desk, out of her office and into the bathroom, tripping on a couple boxes and piles of books and clothes on the way, mumbling curses to herself and the objects. "Stupid fuckin'- AGH! Goddamnit!", The shrieked almost, as she trips and falls over a folded dog bed.

She huffs as she pulls herself off the ground and heads to the bathroom slamming the door and taking a long look at herself in the mirror. "I need to go out damnit, and I still have to clean before mom gets here.. SHIT!" She said to herself lowering her head. She then starts washing her hands and arms before taking off her bra and throwing it out into the hallway and scrubbing her upper chest and stomach, trying to get rid of the splattered ink. "Great, now I'm red."

Mya then gets a towel drying off and opens the bathroom door to go to her room. She goes into her room and looks through her boxes next to her messy bed looking for a bra and shirt then she finds a white strapless push up and a pink, knot front flounce sleeve crop top, then looks through a box with bottoms and finds a brown pleated corduroy skirt. She goes over to her jewelry and picks a pair of blush pink quarts pearl dangle earrings and a Betty Carré large tear drop pink pendant necklace, a special gift from her grandfather.

She went back to her bathroom to put on some makeup but before she walked into the bathroom the heard scratching and whimpering from behind her office door so she turned around and walked down the short hallway of her small penthouse up to the door and bends down. "Dean, I swear if you don't stop alla that damn scratching in there you ain't gon' get no treats." She warns her dog before standing up and opening the door. "Come on, you gotta go outside on the balcony. Come on baby." She says urging him outside.

After putting the long chain on him, filling the water and food bowl and fixing his small dog house and toys, she goes over and unlocks the doggy door. She then bends down to the dog who nuzzles up to her quickly, "I'll be back in a little bit don't you be messin' with anything, I won't be gone long. I love you so much." She tells the dog soothingly before giving him a kid on the head and some rubs before going back into the house to find her shoes.

She walks up to the door with her bag and jacket in hand looking at her shoe rack before choosing her pink lamoda knee high platform heel boots. Then she grabs her house keys, phone, headphones, and walks out the door, locking it, and heading down to the lobby before walking outside onto the busy side walk.

Mya strolled through the bustling city streets, headphones in, lost in the sound of Alec Benjamin's voice as the song "Annabelle's Homework" played. She couldn't help but hum along as she maneuvered through the crowd. The melody echoed in her mind, guiding her steps toward a serene park nearby.

Luke, an aspiring artist, sat sketching on a bench, capturing the vibrant life of the city in his sketchpad. His fingers danced across the paper, meticulously outlining the architecture before him. His earbuds pumped out the same voice singing ''Water Fountain,'' adding rhythm to his strokes.

As fate would have it, their paths converged near a glistening water fountain, shining golden almost in one of the corners of the park. Mya approached the fountain, unaware of the world around her, as Luke glanced up from his sketchbook, captivated by her elegance and the songs playing through both their headphones.

Caught in the enchantment of the moment, Luke mustered the courage to speak. "You're very pretty miss," he remarked, smiling softly.

Startled, Mya glanced up, meeting Luke's gaze. She chuckled flustered, pulling her headphones from her ears. She looks around a little confused and flustered for a second, unsure if he was talking to her. He chuckles catching her attention once more, "I was talking about you," he reassures, "you are- very pretty that is."

Her eyes widen, "Oh- I- Thank you? heh.." Although hardly noticeable in her dark skin, she is now very flustered by not only the sudden comment but also from the guy who said it.

Luke nodded, his eyes lingering on her face. "I'm Luke by the way," he informs with a slight yet sweet smirk, a faint blush tinting his cheeks.

"Mya," she replies setting her bags on the park bench table before moving infront of the water fountain.

She bends her upper back slightly to reach down to get a drink of water. As she's drinking the water she can't help but lift her eyes slightly to take a peak at the man sitting at the table, but when she looks she sees him so concentrated on his sketchbook and the way his face looks in the golden golden glow of the sunlight has her gasping.

When she did gasp, she also inhaled the water which has her now coughing. This caught Luke's attention which now has him quite concerned.
He chuckles lightly and gets up from his seat approaching slowly with a hand out, "Hey, are you good?" She looks up and now seeing the height difference starts getting even more flustered.
"U-uhm.. yeah, yeah I'm- I'm uhh.. I'm all good.." She tells him. He raises his eyebrows laughing slightly and bends a little to look at her face, "Heh, yeah I can uh.. I can see that. Here lemme help you," he says before going over to his bag on the other end of the table and grabbing a clean rag from a pocket.

He then walks over and hand it to her, "Here, you can dry your face off with it," he says as he hands her the rag. She then lifts her face and smiles gratefully, "Thank you, honestly I'm so embarrassed right now.." she says mumbling the last part a bit. He laughs at this a little. "It's fine, there's no need to be embarrassed over something so small I promise." He assures with a warm smile. She looks in his eyes and smiles back sweetly as he guides her to the table to sit down. That's when he starts telling her about his art and what he did for a living. This had them sparking a conversation, a deep one at that.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, weaving through shared musical tastes, their passion for art, and life in the bustling city. Time seemed to stand still as they exchanged stories and laughter, their connection growing stronger with each passing moment.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange hue across the park, Mya glanced at her watch. "Ah shit! I lost track of time! I'm so sorry but I need to head home," she said reluctantly, a hint of disappointment flashing across her face.

Luke hesitated, not ready to part ways just yet. "Oh.. it's all good," he said a hint of sadness and hesitation in his voice. He then worked up the courage to ask her, "Would you... maybe want to meet here again tomorrow?" he asked, hope dancing in his eyes.

A smile tugged at Mya's lips. "Yeah, I'd like that."

They exchanged numbers, their hearts buoyant as they said their farewells, eagerly anticipating their next rendezvous at the water fountain—a spot that serendipitously united them through the enchantment of art and maybe even.. fate?
