Part 31

~1/2~

After the Singapore races, Susie and Rosa were attempting to reach the front so Lewis could see them, but the press, Ferrari, and McLaren teams blocked their way. Zak Brown noticed their efforts and ushered Rosa and Susie to the front just before the racers departed, leaving the press behind. Lewis conversed with them briefly before he had to leave, though Rosa sensed warmth from Carlos and his team.

"Don't mind them, Rosie. I'm happy to see you, even if I wasn't supposed to secure this podium," Lewis said.

"Lewis, don't say that. George messed up, and you're here. It's okay; it's not your fault," Rosa assured him, holding his face, and then kissing him. He reciprocated before heading to the cool-down room.

While Lando and Carlos proceeded to their places, Lewis couldn't stop smiling at Rosa, as she kept sending him kisses and hearts. The team awaited Lewis; Susie noticed Rosa looked different and wanted to talk, but before she could, Lewis rushed to Rosa, embracing her and spinning her around.

Susie chatted with Rosa at the bar as the teams celebrated, while Lewis hugged her repeatedly. Susie assumed he was drinking, unaware that Lewis and Rosa were only consuming water throughout the night. Come morning, Toto found them in the lobby, Lewis and Rosa holding items.

"Good morning! I'm not sure if Susie's awake yet," Toto said.

"We'll keep it a surprise for both of you," Rosa smiled.

"Okay," Toto responded, confused, opening the door to find Susie drying her hair.

"Good morning—oh, Lewis, Rosa, hi!" Susie greeted them, smiling.

"Please sit and open this," Rosa urged.

Susie and Toto sat on their bed, and Lewis began recording as they unwrapped baby monograms and clothes, saying,

"Hi, godfather, hi, godmother."
