Chapter 8: Being a Fugitive

Okay, hope you like it. Since I'm taking two days on it, I plan for it to be about 1000 words or so. Hope you enjoy the longer update, still wanting title suggestions and covers if you want. Imagine her fairy wings like that.

Cassie's POV:

I am basically a fugitive. I have to stay locked up in this house because everyone thinks I'm gone. The elders got the camp to cover for me. I went on the first day of the hunters selection, because I am the most important one there according to my parents. So I found out all of that on Monday, no surprise there. Today is Tuesday, the day after I found it everything and got a wolf and enhanced senses, on yeah you didn't know that, well surprise!

Today I plan on training. First I have to eat breakfast, not that I'm complaining. Their chef, Marie, is the best. She is like a mother to me, which may be is because I met her yesterday but she super nice, makes awesome food, and my mother is a terrible person and only had me to carry on the line. Marie is in her mid 30s, she's a half american half Italian woman, and she is beautiful. She has dark black, wavy hair that is mid waist, beautiful green eyes, and the perfect smile.

When I came downstairs she greeted me and directed me to my seat. While she was coming we sat there and take about everything. She has a husband, Marcus, and 2 daughters, Olivia and Mia. Her husband was a werewolf, but she is an earth fairy. There is no such things as hybrids, except for in my case, so they each got one gene. Her daughter Olivia is a fairy and Mia is a werewolf. I really want to meet them.

When I finished eating my 6 pancakes, 5 waffles, and 8 bacon pieces, I got dressed in workout clothes. I was wearing a light pink tank top with black and pink polka dot shorts, and black Nike shoes. I headed downstairs and completed 8 hours of workouts. 1 hour of running, 1 hour of weight lifting, 1 hour of various muscle exercises, 2 hours of martial arts and self defense, 1 hour of knives, 1 hour of guns, and 1 hour of training with my wolf.

By the time I was finished, it was 8p.m. I quickly ate dinner, washed the dishes, and did some research. I did two hours of that and fell asleep reading some book. When I woke up, Victoria (the Moon Goddess if you remember) was right in my face staring at me, like an animal in the zoo. We both screamed and jumped back. Then we started laughing.

Julian walked in, but the walked right back out with a strange look on his face. That made us laugh even harder, by the time we were finished we had tears in our eyes. We both sat up and started chatting. We were both wondering what form I would get tonight. I then realized that I had barely talked to Zaera today, so we started talking. Its a good thing we hadn't talked today because she was building up strength for the shift tonight.

Speak of the devil and it will come, literally, after talking about shifting, I started shifting. It didn't hurt as bad because Zaera took some of the pain, but this time it was focused on one area, so it felt more painful. The area was on my back, so you can guess I was getting my fairy. I was in too much pain to realize that at the time. Anyways, like last time, I passed out.

When I woke up, I wasn't on the floor. By then, I had figured out I had gotten my fairy. I tried to spin in circles fast enough to see my wings, I looked similar to a dog chasing its tail. Naturally I couldn't see them. I was still trying, when I heard a little tinkle in my mind, a laugh that sounded like a bell or wind chimes. That laugh happened again, but it also gave some words. *Hello, I'm your fairy Isabella*

I was talking to Isabella when Julain walked in. He just stood there, stared at me, then yelled for Victoria. "Victoria, you might want to see this" were his exact words. She ran in and gasped when she saw me. I must have been gorgeous or really ugly I thought, but I went with gorgeous. She showed me a mirror and I gasped too, I looked strange but pretty.

I was about 4"6, a little larger than the normal fairy, and rainbow. My hair was all different colors and shades, forever changing. My eyes were just this regular rainbow. I had pale skin and small but delicate features. My hair was in a pixie cut, no surprise there. My wings were a butterfly wing shape, with sparkles and rainbow coloring. I was surprised by the coloring, because a fairy is just one type, but I am special. I am apparently every type of fairy mixed together, hence the rainbow coloring.

No I did not have a wand, that would have been cool though. My form did come with an outfit though, it was a yellow tanktop with a tutu sort of thing made out of leaves that were rainbow. Victoria led me outside, I had never been there ebefore. There was a beautiful forest bathed in the soft glow of the moon. It was a beautiful sight, especially with my enhanced senses. Animals were everywhere, but not in a chaotic way.

I started practicing my flying, after an hour or so I could do flips and twirls. When I came back down I heard voices. I started to investigate, because Victoria and Julian were outside. When I walked closer the noise, I realized it was the animals. I guess I had gotten my new power.

Zaera then chose that exact moment to tell me I would be getting 2 powers tonight, I only got one power last night so I could get used to it. I started talking to the animals, they really like it here. All of them were good, except for this newborn deer, it had a broken leg. I tried to soothe the deer while wrapping its leg up with leaves, but as soon as I touched its leg, it started glowing.

After the glow, it just stood up, thanked me, and ran to its mom. I guess my second power is healing. I started going around, helping animals and talking to them. Not a lot of them needed help, they were very well taken care of and loved.
I went back inside and told Victoria and Julian everything. We talked more about my mission, they gave me some files to read. They knew where their children where, a fancy boarding school, but they couldn't bring them back until they were 18 years old. They were 13 right now, she wanted me to go there, explain everything, train them, protect them, and bring them back on their 18th birthday. We decided on my disguise and training schedule. I was excited for the next night. I went back with a smile on my face.

How was that for an update? There were 1,300 something words. For every character I plan on making so the way I show when they are talking is different. Zaera's talking is just regular italic letters, Isabella's is *then italic lettering then another* to end what she is saying. I plan on updating again next week at the latest. First I'll make them even longer and make a few so I'm ready ahead of time. If you still want a character, just tell me. Vote, comment, read, whatever you want . Have a good day!
