It's a nice day, with lovely weather. The warm sun is glazing over the scenery - over the nice wedding cake, over Ramona's wedding dress, over Scott and Wallace's tuxedo. Almost everyone is happy. Almost.

A year before the event in Scott pilgrim happened, seven years before the unavoidable wedding of Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers.
"It's alright, let it all out" said Wallace "why did she just leave me like that?" Scott said between sobs and sloppy snots. Scott has never been a pretty crier and Wallace has never been that good at comforting people, maybe it's better for Wallace to keep his sass attitude and for Scott to keep his optimistic look on life. The night fades into the boys' memories of each other

"That skank! Envy? More like envious of a personality!" Wallace grumbles, he hates Envy, is it because she hurt Scott? (No, he isn't thinking about that. Who would? Who cares about Scott, what a loser)
"Yeah, I get it. You hate Envy" said other Scott who is dating Wallace at the time "you wouldn't understand" said the furious boy
"What don't I understand? Did Envy do something to you?"
"What? No! It's not- you know what, forget about it"
"Who was that guy u met at work anyways?"
"Yeah he's like, best friend with my cousin"
Wallace was quick to change the topic of the conversation, he has always been good at leading conversations and people on. In a way Wallace will probably be the biggest jerk you'll ever meet.
Though he's not the villain of this story nor Envy, not even Scott or Ramona.
Scott Pilgrim? That loser, what an unlikeable, dense, lady killer wannabe guy. It's not even Julie who is talking right now, it's just facts. Scott Pilgrim is a shitty person but who isn't?
We make mistakes, especially when we're young - especially when we're young adults. That period of time when you're not a teen anymore but you're not an adult either. That awkward feeling of being an adult but not really, you're still navigating life and relationships and all that stuff

And that's how they met. Just like that, Wallace wiggles his way into the boy's life. A story that is just midly gay as Scott described it

"Yeah- uh not really? I mean I've done it with Envy but we've never gotten this far, just stuff"
"Envy? You're still dating her? I think you should break up with her a.s.a.p"
"I love her and she's not always bad, you know. We have good moments too"
Wallace sighs. It's not like it's the first time Wallace steals other girls' boyfriends anyways. It's not like Scott sees their relationship as anything more than friends anyways.
Wallace doesn't wanna care anymore. He hates this, maybe he hates Scott too - that's what Wallace wants though, unfortunately it's not true. Saying that's what Wallace wants isn't true either.
Wallace knows what he wants, he'd usually get what he wants, but what does he truly want? It's Scott, it has always been Scott, will that change? Maybe? Probably not.
