Jett's POV
Me and Norman were about to leave to go gift shopping for the kids. It's pretty late considering Christmas Eve is tomorrow. But we weren't expecting everything that's been going on.
I got Julius to watch over Ivy and Emmitt. He said he wouldn't mess anything up and he said he would feed the kids. I trust that he will though.
"Alright so I'll feed them around 12:00. And we'll watch Christmas movies all together. What time will you guys be back?" Julius asked. "Um maybe 3 or 4? I'm not sure yet" I said honestly. "Alright. Just let me know whenever" he said. I nodded and said "Alright. Thanks again. I'll pay you when we get back" "oh no. I don't need any money. I don't mind. You guys go have fun" Julius said with a smile.
That made me feel better.
"Alright kids. Mr. Julius is gonna take care of you guys until me and daddy get back. If you need to call me just ask Mr. Julius. He's not mean at all" I said. Emmitt gave me a thumbs up. I looked towards Ivy expecting a response but she was quiet.
"Ivy? Is that ok?" I asked. I then saw her eyes watering. "Oh honey what's wrong?" I asked bringing her into a hug. "Promise you'll come back?" She asked through sobs. "Ivy look at me. I pinky promise me and daddy will come back" I said holding my pinky out to her.
But she didn't make the pinky promise with me.
"But mommy always did that but always lied! What if you're lying?" She asked sadly. That made me mad that their mom did that. I mean she wasn't the best person when we met.
"Ivy listen to me. I princess promise that me and daddy will be back. Do you know what a princess promise is?" I asked. She shook her head but looked towards me for an answer. "It's a promise that princesses make that can never ever be broken. And if they are, the person who breaks the promise will have bad luck forever!" I said.
I saw Ivy's face change to a smile. I wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead. "Ok. I princess promise too that I'll be good" Ivy said happily. "Good. I know you will" I said ruffling her hair.
I quickly gave Emmitt. A hug and kiss goodbye. "I love y'all. Bye bye" Norman said to them. He leaned down and gave both of them a hug.
Time skip~
Right now me and Norman are looking around Target for some stuff for the kids. I'm trying to find a ballet dress for Ivy. I think she will like that.
"Jett?" I heard Norman ask softly. He was next to me looking at some toys. "Oh yea?" I asked. "I wanted to know how much money you're planning on spending" he asked softly. I was about to answer but when I turned around I just smiled.
He had some nice pointe shoes. I assumed they were for Ivy.
"It doesn't really matter. Cause I'm buying them no matter what" I said. I went to grab them but Norman held them back. "Jett you can't just spend all of your money. You need to have a budget or something. I don't know!" Norman said angrily.
"Babe it's ok. Since I've been alone for a while I've saved up a lot of money for.. something. I don't really know. It's hard to explain. But you know I own the apartment complex we live in right?" I asked. Norman just shook his head.
Norman's POV
I was shocked when Jett said he owned the apartment complex. I was more shocked at the way he said 'we' lived in.
"I didn't know that" I said honestly. "Yea. I'm not gonna lie about having a lot of money. I just don't really like showing it. Also it's easier to be a land lord when I live by everyone. You know?" He asked. "Yea. I'm soo sorry I got mad. I just didn't know you had this much money" I said confused.
"Yea I know. But that's what makes me know you're not with me for my money" he said kissing me on the cheek. "Oh stop" I said pushing him away. I felt my face get slightly hot.
"Now let's give these kids the best Christmas ever" Jett said smiling. "Ok. Let's do it" I said. Jett smiled at me and I thought he was going to hold my hand. But he grabbed the ballet shoes out of my hands and threw them in the shopping cart. "Babe!" I said slapping him slightly. He's just let out a chuckle and kissed me on the cheek.
I love him soo much.
Time skip again bc I'm lazy~
Me and Jett got home from shopping. It was 4:00 and Julius was leaving. "Were they good?" Jett asked. "Oh they were wonderful! They make one want to have kids of my own. Ivy even made me and ornament to take home" Julius said happily. He showed us a little snowflake ornament that we bought for Ivy. We bought a whole pack for her to paint.
"Alright well you can go ahead and go. I'll see you later" Jett said hugging Julius. "Alright y'all be safe ok?" Julius said. He gave me a hug and waved goodbye to the kids.
"Alright bye Julius" I said as he walked out. He waved goodbye and that was it. "Daddy!" Ivy screamed. "Yea?" Me and Jett said at the same time. "Oh sorry" I said. Jett just smiled at me. "You didn't break our promise!" She said happily. "Of course not!" Jett said giving her a hug.
"Wait where's Emmitt?" I asked. "He got sleepy. He's on the couch" Ivy said pointing to the living room. I walked over to the living room and saw Emmitt fast asleep. I gently picked him up and brought him to me and Jett's room.
The kids have been sleeping with us until we clean out our extra room for them. I pulled the sheets up to his shoulders and kissed his head. I was about to leave but I heard him groan.
"Daddy? Are you coming to bed?" Emmitt asked groggily. "Um yea. Me and daddy are about to come to bed. Daddy is getting Ivy in her night clothes" I said.
And right on time Jett walked in with Ivy. They were both in their night clothes already. "And now you have to get in your night clothes!" Jett said to me with a smile. I just stuck my tongue out at him in return.
I quickly went into the bathroom and changed my clothes. I put on some sweatpants and one of Jett's shirts. I've gotten some of my clothes but I just like wearing Jett's. I walked back into the room. Ivy was already out with Emmitt. But Jett was just smiling at me.
"You're never gonna give that shirt back are you?" He asked with a chuckle. "Nope it's mine now" I said getting into our bed. "I love you Goodnight" Jett said smiling at me. "Goodnight. I love you too" I said.
And that's how I fell asleep. With Jett and our kids in bed with me.
