James fidgeted around in his seat. He always hated the chairs in the cafeteria, but he couldn't exactly expect much in a airport. He checked his bright yellow watch for what felt like the thousandth time today.

7:37 a.m.

James sighed, pushed his ear buds a little further in his ears, and took another sip of his shitty airport cafe coffee. He sat his chin on the palm of his right hand and watched the people around him. A woman holding what seemed to be a 7 year old's hand. She looked like she was searching for someone, until an older man walked out of the men's restroom to their left. She immediately spotted the man and they continued on their way together, each holding onto one of the little kid's hands.

James fidgeted around in his seat again changing his position to where his arms were now crossed on the small table in front of him, with his chin on his arm.

He watched a very old looking man, carrying a briefcase. The man held a slip of paper close to his face. he squinted at the writing, looked up at the flights listed above him, then hurriedly made his way down to his plane.

James sat up and checked his watch again.

7:47 a.m.

He reached his hand down into his pocket to retrieve his phone and changed the song he was listening to, replied to a few texts, then shoved the phone back in his pocket.

James took a sip of his coffee while he checked his watch again.

7:51 a.m.

He felt his back ache, so he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes for a moment. James could actually feel himself drifting to sleep until his crotch started to burn.

He shot his eyes open and stood up, desperately trying to peel his wet, hot jeans off his sensitive area. A man in front of him seemed to be going on about something and James noticed an empty coffee cup on the floor.

James took out one ear bud.

"-Didn't realize you were there - I just got off a 9 hour flight just to have to hurry to get on another flight in a matter of 20 minutes and I have to get there early or else I'll stress about it -"

James put his ear bud back in his ear, grabbed his bag, and shoved past the man. It was too early in the morning for James to start a fight or to be pissed at some ignorant stranger.

Thankfully, his pants were only noticed by a handful of people. It wouldn't of been pretty if people had accused him of pissing his pants. He got into the handicap stall so he actually had room to change. His underwear and pants were soaked, and his crotch was not very dry either. He chose to deal with his irritated groin and just slipped on a pair of briefs and jeans. Only to find when he was tugging his jeans up his wet legs that, according to his watch, he had 5 minutes to get to his plane.

Fear mode set in, and James nearly tripped over his own feet rushing out of that bathroom door just to catch his plane in a matter of seconds. He found his way to his seat, still flustered and breathing heavy from his marathon he just ran, and plopped down, leaning his head back on his head rest. He closed his eyes, and when his song went off for only a split second to change to another song, he could have swore he heard someone talking.

James opened his eyes and took out one ear bud, but didn't bother moving his head to look at who was talking.

"-About what happened earlier I was just in a rush and - No hard feelings, right?"

Realization set into James' head. He sighed, still not turning his head, and spoke.

"You know, I have headphones in and I can't hear what you're saying unless I actually take one out."
