Chapter 7: His Arrival

Mace was preparing to get groceries on that Saturday morning, course she was free that weekend after doing all the clean up in the house she discovered that their was know foodstuffs and veggies. When she was getting ready to go she heard a knock on the door "coming" she reached the door and opened it "what are you doing here?"she asked the good looking man in front of her "uhmm Mace am here to see Kate" the man was Ken Damigo, Kate's ex boyfriend he was also a well known business man in Los Angeles " why do you want to see Kat?" Mace didn't like Ken course of how he hurt her in the past .
            "Well Kate is not here, she's preparing for her engagement party, if you would excuse me I need to go get groceries"Mace locked the door and went out of the apartment, Ken was confused 'what did she mean when she said kate was getting preparing for her engagement party no,no, no' he left the apartment immediately.
           Kate was at the Mansion when she received an unknown call when she answered it was Ken he wanted to see her but she refused, after all these years he wants to meet her. A part of Kate wanted to see him so she decided to go see him at the hospital course he lied about getting into an accident, he knew his Kate would do anything to see him in that critical condition.
            When Kate was preparing to go dij came to inform her about their trip to australia for her engagement dress. Dij then asked Kate were she was going to in such a hurry she told dij that she was going to see a friend and then left the house, she took a taxi to the hospital on her way she thought of calling Travis to tell him we're she was going but she shrugged it off, that she would be back before Travis returns from work. Kate got to the hospital on time and rushed to the ward were Ken was "Ken"he turned and saw kate at the door, he was so happy to see her again after all those years. "Kate" he whispered, she went close to his bed and sat by his side "how are you doing?".
              "Am fine kate, you look beautiful".
                "Thanks, it's been a while right".
                 "Yeah, Mace told me you're preparing for your engagement is that true?".
             "Well yes, I'm going to get engaged in a few weeks".
               "Why Kate? Do you know you're hurting me".
             "I don't understand you Ken, well didn't you get married to Lucy I thought your parents loved her for you and you loved her too".
            "Lucy's dead she got stomach cancer, please kate you're the only woman I've ever loved just believe me and come back".
           "Are you damn serious ken, your parents doesn't like me and I am going to get engaged with Mr Travis Wilson and you want me to come back no way".
          Ken couldn't believe his ear's did she just mention Travis wilson that devil he thought, Ken stared at Kate for a while then he said "Travis Wilson, kate are you crazy that man don't have a heart his a devil on his own. Don't do this kate you're making a mistake".
            "The only mistake I made is coming here to see you am leaving" Kate got up from and left the hospital. Tears rolled down Ken's cheek that he had lost the woman that his heart yawn for to a monster like Travis.
