(First I want to apologize for the delay of this chapter, no excuses but I completely gave up on this book to read other books😭 anyways I accidentally opened this part of the app today and so I decided to drop a chapter, also I saw a message by a follower asking me to update, I'm so sorry I don't check messages and it was sent last month, if you see this I'm sorry, I'm very bad at communicating and shame stopped me from responding and I didn't want to make promises on updating cause I'll have to fulfill it and I didn't want to but here I am, forgive me🥺)

"Are you going to keep up with this man as your husband?" Kairat mum asked me

"Aunt I honestly still love my husband and I don't want to leave him, he loves me too he just have no self control..." I said as she cuts me off

"And what is a man with no self control called?" She asked as I remained silent

"An animal" she said

"Aunt..." I said as she cut me off

"But even an animal knows how to control itself, your husband would be worse than an animal" she said again. Her words were directed at Malik but somehow it made me so upset, if he was to hear this now all his anger and fustration would be taking out on me and he would end up cheating again.

I know there's no way he would come up here now but if by any chance khalifah brings him up here then I'd loose him to his anger again.

"Umaima" she called my name

"Na'am" I responded trying to hide the upset in my tone

"Do you love yourself at all?" She asked as I looked at her, then looking at my mum and Kairat before returning my gaze back to her

"I do love myself of course, more than anything else" I responded

"Are you sure about that" she asked

"Yes 100%" I responded

"If you do love yourself then why do you keep letting Malik disrespect you time and time over again all in the name of being married to him" she said

"Aunt, his not as bad as you think, his trying to change, I think we should help him instead of pointing fingers at him..." I was saying when my mum cut me off

"His trying to change?" My mum said as I looked at her

"Yes mum..."

"For the past 3 years that you've been married to him, you've complained to us several times of him sleeping around with other women and you're here defending him?" My mum rant out as I remained silent, how could I defend Malik, she was right, I let out a sigh looking over to Kairat for back up but even her remained silent, guess It was me and Malik against everyone now.

I'm not sure my father would accept his apology, even if he did, the relationship would be sour between them. I never once thought of a day that it'll come to this, my entire family disappointed in my husband and upset with me standing by him.
