Chapter 8:He Hates Me

Travis got home before kate returned, he asked dij about kate she told him kate went to see a friend and then kate entered she was frightened to see Travis home before she was back. He pulled her arms harshly and dragged her upstairs to their bedroom, he pushed her on the bed and slammed the door "Travis why do you enjoy hurting me" kate said with teary eyes.
                "Where did you go to?"
      "I went to see a friend of mine that's all"
            "Really a friend, kate you know what you are"
         "Why don't you just trust me Travis, am soon going to be your wife"
          "I should trust a bitch like you,a liar, a cheat, you think I didn't know you went to see that looser you call a boyfriend in the hospital" kate eyes widened 'how did he find out?'
          "You don't have any right to spy on me Travis, you're not my dad okay so just stop". After saying that Travis grabbed her by the jaw so hard she tried to let him release his grip but couldn't.
              "But you said it yourself Kate that you're soon going to be my wife, so I have every right to know were you're going to. And I don't want to see you anywhere close to that bastard" he released his grip on her jaw and tears flowed down her cheeks.
          "You don't own me Travis and even it's just a contract marriage so stop hurting me you don't have any right over me, am tired okay so let me live my life".
               "Kate you're a damaged property already, theirs know need for you to live your life okay" kate couldn't understand why he hated her so much. Was it because she wasn't from a wealthy family, she wondered why her life always crumble anytime she had a little chance to live a happy life with the person she loves.
         Did nature wants her not to fall in love with any man or wanted her to live a miserable life, just like her parents abandoned her with her aunt and none of her parents wanted to take her 'they shouldn't have brought me to this world to suffer' she cried that night and didn't go downstairs to have dinner.
        Travis felt his feeling being hurt when she went to see ken, they were both business rival's, so he didn't want Kate to have anything doing with him , he felt guilty saying those hurtful words to her. When he got into the bedroom he saw kate already fast asleep, he kissed her on the head and whispered sorry in her ears and held her in his arms, he didn't want to loose this gift nature gave him he just wanted to protect her.
