I wasn't really given much attention during my childhood,the only time I was given attention was when there is a function in our palace ,my parents King Chris and queen Melissa were always busy attending royal dances,royal wedding,royal meetings and other stuff that has to do with royalty.I was the only child of my parents so they gave whatever I wanted except from attention and when I mean attention I mean parental love and care.The only people that cared for me were my maids Ylva and Ashley and i love them so much they really a lot to me,they are my friends,my sisters and most of the time i see them as my parents.
"Lya, princess Lya"I heard someone calling my name even though I was still sleeping.
"Princess Lya, your parents are back"I Heard the same voice again as i jumped up from my bed and ran downstairs to hug them so tight, it's been three months that I haven't seen them.
"How u doin sweetie" my mum asked
"Am doing great and I really missed you guys so much "
"We missed you to"my parents said at the same time.
"Come on let's eat dinner together"
"Sure"I said and went to the dinner area.
I was so excited to see them, this is the first time we are eating together in three months but the dinner is so silent and boring to eat and I had to break the silence
"Hmm so mum and dad how was ur trip"I asked
"It was great honey and guess wat ?"
"What mum?"
" We saw the statue of harmony at staceway kingdom"
"No way I would really love to see it one day"
"Mmm..."
" Enough of the chit chat and just break the news to her"my dad said in a harsh tone.
"I would okay mmmm Lya sweetie I have something to you"
"Which is??"I asked in a suspicious tone
"Hum! One of the major reasons we are back is to celebrate your wedding"
"Are u talking about me or what?"
"Don't act all foolish okay you are getting married tomorrow ASAP so start preparing"my father said in a harsh tone.
I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door so hard that it could deafen a person.How could my parents be so cruel and wicked ,how could they do these to their only daughter and am just 22years,I have a lot dreams to fulfill all i could is cry,I cried for hours until i fell asleep.
The next morning:
I woke up and saw a long feathered long white gown then Ashley and Ylva came into my room telling me to start getting ready.
"Getting ready for what?"
"Don't pretend Lya stand up and go have ur bath"Ashley said
"No I don't want to please"
"I understand you are not ready for this now but please consider your parents there love that's why they are getting you married"Ylva explained
"No they don't,they don't love me"
"They do u just don't see it"Ashley said
Ashley and Ylva were trying to calm me down when my mum came in.
"Hey sweetie"my mum said
" It would be much appreciated if u kindly leave my room
"I am so sorry"
"Get out I don't wanna here anything from you" i shouted at her
"Okay please get her ready"she said and left
" Lya how could say things like that to your mum"Ashley asked
"Just dress me up as you were told to do"I said and no noone spoke again.At that moment I was realized that I had been receiving shocking news.
