Hey, there! Thanks so much for opening this book. When this short story was shortlisted as one of the top 10 short stories for the Pen Impact Christmas Contest, I was so thrilled because I wasn't expecting it.
I want to give my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported me in one way or the other for that contest. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing community of people who selflessly desire my growth.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the top three and hence didn't win any prize. But seriously, all of your support means the world to me. If I try to list out all the names of people who made this publication a reality, the pages will lose count. But I want to thank my lovely parents. They believe in me and support me in more ways than I deserve. In fact, they kept publicising till I am sure all my relatives and ancestors knew that I was in a writing contest.
Thanks to Fortune Ehimwenma, my very dear brother and friend. We both wrote, critiqued and submitted for this contest. Even though he didn't make the shortlist, he went all out to support me during the second stage. I'm grateful for you, bro.
Thank you, Jessica, for giving me your honest feedback as my beta reader for this story. You're a gem.
Thanks to Mr Idegu Ojonugwa Shadrach, a reporter and sub-editor at TrueTellsNigeria Newspaper who voluntarily featured my story on their news site. You can read the article here.
To every person who voted and reposted during the voting stage, I appreciate you from the depths of my heart. This story means so much to me because it's the story of how redemption was made possible. But of course, told from a new perspective. I hope you encounter Christ within its pages.
I'd appreciate it if you could share this book with as many people as you can today. Also, an honest review will be highly appreciated. It helps me get better equipped to write great stories you'll love.
PS: If you'd love to get the PDF copy of this story, please come to my private message and I'll give you.
Happy reading.
