I decided to call Henley instead of Duke, because let's face it, that would be even more embarrassing then it already is. I've never been ditched on a date. I was always the ditcher! Not the the ditchee. Three rings go by and she answers.

"Yeah?" She drawls out.

"Henley, can you come pick me up?"

"Umm. Okay? Where are you?"

"I'm at Comits. I'll explain later, just come get me."

"Okay. I'm on my way," and with that she hangs up.

I walk outside and lean against the brick wall. It's a nice night. There aren't many street lamps so you can really see the stars. That's one think you usually can't say when your in the city. I search the night sky looking for a constellation I might recognize, when somebody coughs a few feet away. Reluctantly, I look up and find a guy staring at me. He nods at me and I nod back before looking back up at the sky. Take a hint and don't try anything else. I'm not in the mood to stab a guy tonight. Unfortunately, he doesn't take a hint and moves closer. I look up again and he smiles. I push myself off the wall and sigh.

"Look man, I don't know who you are and I don't want to know. I'm tired and just want to go to sleep. So if you don't mind, could you find someone else to satisfy your sexual needs tonight? Thank you." I smile at him and start walking towards the street corner so that I have a better view of passing cars. Henley hurry up. But before I'm even half way there I hear footsteps behind me. I stop and turn around only to be confronted by the same man.

"I could, but I don't want to," he smirks. I sigh again and bend down to pull my knife out of my sock. He laughs, "A knife? I'm usually confronted with pepper spray. Do you even know hot use that thing?" I also laugh.

"Yeah I do. Better then you do, I'm pretty sure." He jokingly puts his hand up as to surrender and starts to make his way towards me. Before he can even put a foot forward I sling the knife, which is edged perfectly into the palm of his hand. His eyes widen in horror and he looks at his hand, which is still in the air. "Whoops. I didn't mean to do that. You see, I was actually aiming for your forehead. I guess I don't know how to use a knife."

I see headlights on the guys back and look around him to see Henley. "Well that's my ride," I smile and make my way the car. When I get in Henley has a grin plastered on her face.

"Can't leave you alone for ten minutes without someone shedding blood," she laughs and starts to my house. "So spill. I thought you and the other Rorson had a date tonight? And why couldn't you have just drove yourself home? Where's Dawn?" I look at her through the corner of my eye and sigh.

"Yes me and 'the other Rorson' had a date tonight. He bailed on me okay?" She stifles her laughter before motioning for me to continue. "He bailed and I told him to to take Dawn because he didn't have a car." She gasp and looks at me.

"The Breigh I know would never lend someone one of the few cars she named. Especially lend it to the guy who ditched her."

"Well I did. And Dawn isn't even one of the important ones. Mae and Stephen are the only important ones. Dawn wasn't even supposed to have a name, my parents named her that when they gave her to me. And it just kind of stuck."

Yes, I'm one of those weird people who name their cars. But in my defense out of the many vehicles I own, only three have names. Dawn of course. Stephen, which is a Hennessy Venom GT. Ahh, Stephen. Stephen is pure black with pure black windows and white and gold interior. However, Mae is a 2010 Chevy Silverado. She was David's. And Mae is my most prized possession. If anyone ever stole her, that person would would be dead.
