I awoke, beginning the day like any other, with birds singing their morning songs and wild animals grunts as they stroll past.

I led in my bed for a couple of minutes longer absorbing the warmth of it as I stare upwards to the ceiling. The fresh smell of roasted fish enveloped my nose, telling me that my father has gone down to the market this morning and has bought some good food to eat.

I curiously strolled downstairs, past the small built in library my parents had put in, and downstairs into the kitchen where my mother was preparing the fish silently, while my father drank his tea quietly reading his old newspaper.

"I love the smell of fish in the morning." I say smelling the fish as I walk over to the dinning table.

"Well its a good thing I got some then, isn't it?" My father asks rhetorically.

"Yes dear, here, take your time its hot." My mother said placing the plate down in front of me.

I don't listen to her and immediately start to chew on my fish, lightly burning my tongue in the process but ultimately loving the taste. I continued eating for a couple more minutes the with comforting silence with my parents.

Once finished I went to the library to catch up on the book I've been reading, forgetting about real world problems and forgetting where I was. The story was about demons and these swordsman who's life mission was to slay them had captured my attention, before remembering the job I got to go to. I met my father at the market where he'd had obviously  chopped down some trees. My family are lumberers and we make a decent amount of profit of selling wood and charcoal.  Mine and my mothers job was to sell the wood each morning.

After a couple of minutes I had noticed that the Tensuke family wasn't there, they caught and sold fish, I wondered how my father manged to get a fish if they weren't here this morning. I didn't pay much of it as many more people came to collect their fire wood for the coming winter storm.

After a couple of minutes I needed to go and collect some small sticks as we were running out of fire wood starters. I wondered around picking up small twigs and sticks before hearing a loud scream in the distance and the sound of fast running.

"AHHH! SOMONE PLEASE SAVE ME!" Someone screamed in the distance.

With the small hatchet now in my hands I ran over to the commotion only to fid someone passed out on the floor and had looked clearly hurt.

"Hey! Hey wake up!" I shouted at the body.

After only moments I hauled the body onto my shoulders and slowly walked back to my house, never shaking the unnerving feeling of being watched, yet never finding out what was.

I placed the stranger in my bed as he looked like he was going to catch a fever, he might've been out in the cold for a long time. I tended to his small cuts and left a warm cup of tea next to him for when he wakes up.

After a couple of hours I decided to go and wake him up myself just to make sure I haven't got a dead body resting in my bed.

He awoke before I had to chance to walk back into my room.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" he asked as I walked into the room replying,

"Hey there, its me, the woodcutter boy you know? Its Tyla Aldrich" I said trying to sound calm.

"Your from the Tensuke family, right? The fishermen?" I said before then grabbing the tea and holding it out to him.

"Erh, thanks...? My name is Shinra Tensuke.." He responded almost like he had forgotten his own name.
