Jett's POV
"Daddy" I heard someone whisper to me. I knew it was Ivy trying to wake me up but I acted like I was sleeping. "Daddy. Wake up" she said. I couldn't help but open my eyes. She sounded soo happy.
"What?" I asked. "It's Christmas!" She said happily. "I know! Are you ready to open presents?" I asked. "We can't! We have to wake up daddy and Emmitt" she said seriously.
I just smiled at her. She's such a thoughtful person. "Of course. You go into the living room and I'll wake them up. Ok?" I asked. "Ok!" Ivy said happily. She jumped down from the bed and ran out of the room.
"I'm up daddy" I heard Emmitt say softly. "Oh! Merry Christmas! Are you ready to open your presents?" I asked. He smiled at me and nodded. "Alright then. You go into the living room with Ivy while I wake daddy up. We'll be there in a bit" I said. Emmitt nodded and sat up. He then crawled out of the bed and ran out of the room.
I felt Norman move a little. "Good morning baby" I whispered. "Hmm" he groaned. "It's Christmas. The kids are ready to open their presents" I said. "You are soo childish" Norman said with a smile. "But you love me" I said. I leaned over and kissed his head.
"Yea I do. Let's go open presents with the kids" he said with a smile. He gave me a kiss and rolled out of bed. "The kids are waiting in the living room" I said. Norman nodded and grabbed my hand.
We walked into the living room and saw Emmitt and Ivy sitting on the couch. They both looked shocked. "Are y'all ready to open gifts?" Norman asked. "Our mommy never got us a lot of gifts" Emmitt said softly. "Oh well me and daddy made sure to get you guys a lot of presents" I said.
Honestly it made me a little sad that they had to go through that. But me and Norman can change it. Especially Norman.
"Ok do y'all wanna look through stockings or open presents first?" Norman asked. "What's stockings?" I heard Emmitt ask. That just hurt my heart. "It's a big sock with lots of toys and candy inside" I said. I saw Emmitt and Ivy's faces light up when I said that. "Let's do stockings first!" Ivy said.
Norman grabbed the stockings but stopped. "Did you get their names sewed on the stockings?" He asked happily. "Oh! Julius asked if he could sew their names on so I said yes" I said. I saw Norman smile. "He's talented" he said bringing the stockings to the kids.
He gave them the stockings with their names on it but they didn't open anything. "Where's yours?" Emmitt asked. He was obviously referring to me and Norman. "Oh! Me and daddy didn't get any stockings. But we have presents under the tree so don't worry alright?" I said. Both Emmitt and Ivy nodded and started opening their stockings.
It was soo cute seeing their faces light up to everything they pulled out. "What's this?" I heard Emmitt ask as he pulled out some tickets. "Those are tickets for all of us to go to the aquarium so we can see some fish" I said. I saw Emmitt smile and show them to Ivy. "That's soo cool!" Ivy said happily.
But she hasn't even seen her tickets yet.
"Hey Ivy look at that piece paper" I said. She looked in her stocking and pulled out a pink piece of paper. She opened it up and there were more tickets. "What does it say?" She asked handing it to me. "Well it's tickets to go see a ballet show! How does that sound?" I asked. I saw her face light up with soo much joy it made me want to cry.
"I love you!" Ivy said giving me a hug. "I love you too. Now, finish getting everything out of your stocking so we can all open gifts" I whispered. She nodded and went back to looking through her stocking.
I turned around and saw that Norman was watching from behind. "Hey babe. Come sit down with us" I said patting the seat beside me. He smiled and sat down next to me. "I love you soo much" he whispered as he leaned his head on me. "I love you too" I whispered back.
Finally the kids were done looking through their stockings. They loved everything that was in it. And honestly I'm glad that they're soo thankful. That's how I was when I was little.
"Can we open the big gifts now?" Emmitt asked softly. "Of course!" I said. I walked over to the tree and picked out some presents for them. And one for Norman. I then handed them out.
"Alright. Go!" I said. They both started unwrapping their presents fast. "Shoes!" I heard them both scream happily. "They're my favorite color!" Emmitt said showing his to Ivy. "Mine have lights!" Ivy said making hers light up.
"Are you gonna open yours?" I asked Norman. He was soo lost in watching the kids he forgot to open his. "Oh right" he said. He opened up his and started laughing. "I love it!" He said. "What is it?" Ivy said getting up to see. He pulled it out to show Ivy and Emmitt.
I got him one of those snuggies because he's always cold. But I made sure to get the one with a heater in it. I knew he would like it.
Time skip~
Norman's POV
We were just finishing opening presents. Ivy was on her last one. It's her ballerina dress and shoes. And I'm soo excited for her to see it.
All of a sudden I heard a knock on the door.
"Did you invite anyone?" I asked Jett. He shook his head. "It might be Julius. Or someone paying rent" he said. "I'll check. I holler if I need you" I said getting up.
I walked over to the door and opened it. I couldn't be more angry at the sight in front of me. Krampus was standing there with presents like he cares.
I was about to close the door but I saw someone next to him. It was Amari. Shit. I can't close the door on her. She's sweet.
"Why are you here?" I asked angrily. "Listen I came to apologize to you" Krampus said. That pissed me off even more. "Bullshit" I said. Krampus was about to snap back but Amari spoke first.
"Norman I'm the one that told Krampus to come apologize. If you're angry be angry at me. I just thought you guys could make up" she said. I let out a sigh. She's a good person. "You need to apologize to Jett not me. You hurt his feelings. He's not at all what you said" I said to Krampus.
"I know. I just- I'm sorry. I just didn't want you having to deal with him rejecting you" he said. "Well he didn't. He thought I hated him because of everything you said. I love him and he loves me. And I'm staying with him whether you want me to or not" I said seriously.
"Babe! Who is it?" Jett said. "Um. Come see. Leave the kids though" I said. I heard Jett say something to the kids then walk over. He wrapped his arms around me but froze when he saw Krampus.
"Hi Jett" he said. "Oh hi. Do you guys want to come in?" He asked both Krampus and Amari. "Um if you want us to" Krampus said seriously. "I don't mind" Jett said opening the door for them to walk through.
We walked to the living room where the kids were. Ivy already had her ballet shoes on. And Emmitt was playing with his toy cars and trucks.
"Jett I wanted to apologize to you for what I said. I was just trying to protect my little brother. And I understand if you don't accept my apology but I would like to be a part of the family if that's ok with you" Krampus said seriously.
That kind of shocked me to be honest. I never thought I would hear Krampus say something like that.
"Can you promise me something?" Jett asked Krampus. Krampus nodded. "Promise that if I need help with the kids you can babysit?" He asked. "Of course" Krampus said seriously. "And that you're now their uncle so you can't be mean" Jett added. I saw Krampus smile at that. "They only call me uncle if they're comfortable" Krampus said with a chuckle.
"They can call me aunt!" Amari said happily. She was on the ground playing with Ivy. That made me laugh. It was soo cute.
"So does this mean you accept my apology?" Krampus asked Jett. "Definitely" Jett said with a smile. "Norman?" Krampus asked. "I accept your apology" I said smiling at him. "Great because I bought gifts for everyone!" Krampus said happily.
And that's how our life started.
