The Noise My Mother Had Heard

"Jax, What is that noise?" My mother called out to me.
"It is probably just the neighbors." I answered.
"No, It sounds too close to becoming from outside." That response sent shivers up my spine. I was in the kitchen looking for something to eat when my mom had notified me about the noise. She had been in her room which see from the kitchen, was about two doors down. I decided to head over to her room so I could determine what the noise was. As I was heading down the hallway to her room I couldn't hear any noise. In fact, I couldn't hear anything at all.

Sorry that this chapter was so short! They will be short for a bit until I start writing more parts instead of just editing my old story!
