It has been a week since CV Barcelona's offer. As much as I love my current club, where I basically grew up, I knew this would be a perfect opportunity for me. I had my farewell today as I would move to Barcelona tomorrow.

When I informed Elena and Clara with a FaceTime call, they both went crazy. Funny thing, Elena's face froze as I called, making her look like a demon. Her WLAN wasn't the best apparently. They both were so happy for me, especially Elena. She already played at CV Barcelona, I guess the coach asked her about me too, but she denied it when I asked her about it.

Next week preseason would begin, so I had five days to settle into my new apartment and do some sightseeing. It is the first time living on my own, sadly my parents could't move with me, their work is based here in Madrid.

I took the afternoon flight and was embraced by Elena waiting for me at the arrivals. Saying goodbye to my parents wasn't very easy, they always supported me, so not having them next to me will be difficult. Still they're only one-and-a-half hours away by plane.

„I can't believe you really signed for Barça, I'm so proud of you." Elena spoke happily.

„It all happened so fast, it's crazy. Like, I knew my manager was looking for other clubs to sign me, but Barça? It's the city I've loved since I was little." I trailed off, moving my two luggages to her car.

„Half of your love for Barça is for the football club, don't try to fool me." Elena countered after driving me to my new home.

„By the way! Did Gavi text you back?"

I broke the eye contact as I felt my cheeks heat up. I haven't exactly told her that we've been texting these last two weeks.

„So he really did text back! Why didn't you tell us?!" she gasped loudly, acting like she felt betrayed.

„I haven't told you because you gave me a lecture the first night when he didn't reply. He was in America on summer tour and had no data for the first two days. Now we've just casually been texting, getting to know each other." I reasoned, while Elena just shook her head smiling widely.

She finally parked in front of an apartment complex, which was included in my contract. Barça gave all players a car and an apartment plus a monthly salary. This really felt now like professional volleyball and I still can't believe I'm part of it.

I opened the door to my apartment to be met with a beautifully furnished, modern apartment. It wasn't the biggest, but just perfect for one or two persons.

Elenas apartment was just ten minutes away and I knew there would be a lot of sleepovers at each others apartments.

She stayed with me until I've unloaded my luggage and helped me with the directions, when I would head to the headquarters tomorrow to sign my contract. In a week when practice will start, I'll have a media day and my medical exam.

It felt a bit weird sleeping alone in an apartment and I was low-key scared at first but sleep overtook my thoughts and I drifted off.

I arrived at the facilities, meeting Carlos Pérez first, having a casual conversation with him.

„I've heard you've been a Barça fan your whole life?" The president said, right before I've signed the official contract.

„I am! Happy now to be a part of the family." I spoke, feeling exited all over again.

After I signed the papers, some fotos and videos were taken for their Instagram account. Then, they showed me around for the first day next week, but let me head home shortly after.

At my new home I decided to break the news to my Instagram followers too and posted a few pictures.
