Jennie and Jisoo hate each other. Or at least that's what they believe.
Over the course of 3 years, Jisoo has perfected pretending indifference towards Jennie, in other words, it's as if Jennie (almost) never existed for her. Having some mutual friends, Jisoo has trained her brain to use her best poker expression whenever Jennie's name is mentioned.
Unlike Jennie, who has always made clear to everyone how much she hates Kim Jisoo, because at any and every opportunity, Jennie likes to make known how much she can't stand the older Kim.
For Jennie, the redhead betrayed her when they were just a few days away from celebrating 2 years together.
For Jisoo, the feline-eyed girl broke up with her via text without any explanation, blocked her everywhere possible and then spent a month traveling with her mother. When Jennie returned, she moved out and Jisoo never knew where she lived, she just received a box with her things and a note: I really hate you.
They attended the same university, graduated in the same year, but Jennie worked hard to disappear from Jisoo's radar, meanwhile, the redhead got tired of waiting and only let things go because she knew how spiteful Jennie was.
Neither of them made any move to clarify everything and put a dignified end to their story.
While Jisoo drank and just kissed random mouths at dubious parties to try to forget Jennie, the feline-eyed brunette started dating Taehyung, better known as V, almost a year after her breakup with Jisoo.
The relationship was going well until V had to enlist in the military and they decided that ending the relationship was the best option.
Jennie suffered a little, after all, she had become attached to V, but a few weeks after the breakup, she returned to hating Jisoo more than before when she realized that the suffering for her ex-boyfriend didn't even compare to all the bad feelings that Jisoo had made her feel.
6 months after breaking up with V, Jennie barely remembered him, but she remembered Jisoo almost every day and always promised herself that her path would never cross with the redhead again.
That's what she believed.
Until now.
The weather is cloudy and rain showers fall at random times today. Jennie practically ran into the elevator, a little wet, panting, and when she looked at the panel full of buttons she was surprised to see that her floor number had already been pressed.
"You're going to the same..." Jennie stops talking as soon as the doors close and she looks at the person who is in the same metal box as her "This has to be some bad joke!" She clenches her teeth tightly and clasps her hands in anger.
Jisoo, who now has black hair, almost like a raven, has her eyes almost popping out of her face as she looks at Jennie. She looks at her from head to toe and swallows hard, unable to believe that the feline-eyed woman is in front of her in the flesh.
Before the raven could respond or say anything, the elevator rattles and stops a few seconds after starting to rise. The lights on the metal box flash a few times and the emergency signal is on, the elevator drops a few meters and stops again.
"I can't believe I'm going to die with you, right with you!" Jennie says angrily and approaches the panel, pressing all the buttons at the same time.
"Stop! They will realize that something is wrong and will call someone to rescue us." Jisoo approaches the brunette, pushing her to the side and clicking the emergency button without interruption.
"You don't know anything, get away from me!" Jennie pushes the crow back and they start a shoving contest to see who is in front of the panel.
"For God sake, Jennie, years have passed and you're still stubborn." Jisoo ends up giving up and passes her hand over her face, letting out a tired sigh as she leans against the wall opposite Jennie. The crow closes her eyes and begins a silent prayer so that God, Buddha or whatever deity is on duty will make it wake up from this dream.
