Chifuyu sighed, looking at the date on his phone.

Almost 4 weeks since he had last seen or heard anything about you. It wasn't unusual for you to disappear for weeks, or even months, but something told him that this wasn't like the other times.

Chifuyu knew you better than probably anyone. But despite that, you pushed him away. You wouldn't tell him about what you did when you were gone, you would just always tell him not to worry. But how could he not worry? Throughout the years, you have become so incredibly important to him.

Even though you have rejected him a total of three times by now.

Even if all you wanted was to be friends (with benefits), it didn't make him love you any less. He promised to always take care of you, after all.

''I'm sure she's fine.'' Chifuyu looked up from his phone to meet Kazutora's gaze. "I don't know, I have a bad feeling about this." Chifuyu put his phone back in his pocket, now getting ready to greet a customer that had walked in.

The customer confidently walked up to Chifuyu. "Welcome- Oh, hi, Hana." Chifuyu greeted the female. The girl placed a hand on her hip, eyeing Chifuyu closely. "Have you heard of (Y/n) lately?"

Chifuyu shook his head. "I haven't, I feel like something is off." Hana took out her phone, looking at her messages with you. On August 31st, you two went out. September 1st, you no longer replied to her messages.

Now it was nearing October.

She quickly showed Chifuyu her phone screen. Chifuyu also showed her his latest messages to you. Last time he had heard of you was September 1st, when you had asked to him to pick you up.

"Oh she actually got to spend the night with the guy. I had to walk home at 5 am!!" Hana whined. She almost felt like you had gotten the better option. "So the last time you've heard of her was when she asked you to be her taxi driver once again?" Hana patted Chifuyu's shoulder, giving him an apologetic smile.

"I'm used to it." Chifuyu put his phone away. "So really nothing since September 1st?" There was some hopefulness in his eyes, that was soon crushed. "Nope. I even visited her work, apparently she hasn't gone to her shifts. Did you know she only works there part-time?"

Chifuyu's eyes widened slightly. "I thought she worked at the cafe full-time?" "She told me the same." The two exchanged quick looks. "Did you know she's taking another gap year from school?" The girl asked. "Yeah. To focus on work to get money, she said." Chifuyu gulped.

"What work is she focusing on if she's just a part-timer in the cafe?"

Chifuyu couldn't stop his mind from racing. There was always something off about your story. No matter how many times he visited the cafe to surprise you, you weren't there.

Why would you need to lie? What are you trying to cover up?

"I wonder if she's a stripper."

Chifuyu nearly choked on his own spit at Hana's words. Yeah, he knew you well enough to say it wasn't that at least.

"Just a joke. Or was it." Hana giggled at the male's expression. "But seriously. When is it time to get the police involved?" Her expression turned serious.

All she wanted was for you to be safe.

"She said to absolutely never call the police, right?" Kazutora now chimed in. Chifuyu nodded in agreement. You had said that, more than once.

Hana furrowed her brows, now looking at Kazutora. "But what if she's in danger? Wouldn't the police be the best bet? When do we consider her missing?" Kazutora averted his eyes, feeling like the girl's gaze was just a little too intense.
