I first met Enrico De Bastianelli on December 16th, 2002. He was in a business meeting with my father. The only reason I was even near his office in the first place was to ask him to fill out a permission slip I was given. I wouldn't have been there otherwise. My Dads colleges can be a little dangerous. He tells me to stay away. That's why as soon as I realised that a meeting was in session I slowly backed away so as not to draw attention to myself. But he noticed. Of course he did.
"Excuse me, Mr Cappadonà", he said with a confident tone, " I just need a quick bathroom break." I heard from behind the door.
"No problem Bastianelli." My father said, replying to the brooding voice.
"Thank you Sir, sorry for the inconvenience." The stranger's voice thanked as the door shut behind him. I continued walking away when I heard footsteps behind me followed by a gentle push on my shoulder.
"What's your name beauty?" The mystery man asked.
"I'm not sure I should be telling you that."
"Come on sweetie, I can keep a secret." He winked as a sly smirk spread across his face.
"Maria. Maria Cappadonà." I answered
"Oh you're the boss's daughter, I probably shouldn't be talking to you Roma. But anyways I'm Rico. Enrico De Bastianelli."
"Roma?" I questioned the strange nickname.
"The prettiest city in Italy for the prettiest girl in Italy." He replied confidently as I blushed.
Rico had dark angelic locks and tattoos swirling all up his arms. He had dark curls that covered his emerald green eyes. They were hypnotising. It was like I was in a trance. Whether that was a good or bad thing, I was yet to know.
