10. Mother's Advice

Tenko laid on his back in the nest as he felt himself panting a bit. He didn't know what had happened in the last days. He felt his body just grow weaker from day to day. How his limbs got heavier and he got so easily out of breath.

First he couldn't swim as fast anymore...then not around the ocean as much. Then he felt like his jaw was stuck in place and he barely had the energy to swallow even a tiny bit of food. After that the pain came over him. Like he ate something bad something rotten. Every attempt he made to move more made him whine in pain and every tiny bite he took was puked out of him a few moments later.

And now. He couldn't even properly move anymore. He just laid in his nest as he felt everything around him become hotter and hotter. But he could barely move...maybe not even feel the pain properly anymore. The heat silenced his senses. He wouldn't even be able to tell if anything was near him.

Touya wasn't too aware of Tenko's condition. But for when he brought him food. He wouldn't eat, which was quite.. Shocking and unlike him for he would be starving all the time.

But he accompanied his lover at the moment. By his nest as he held his face. He didn't know what was going on but he could tell he was sort of.. Going into labor? The little slit had opened up the slightest bit but you could still see a small amount of pink. He was so confused about what he should do!! He forgot he had to give birth at some point!

Tenko barely noticed that the other came closer but when he felt his hands on his face he felt like some of the fog that was on his mind the whole time cleared up. His eyes moved to look at him as he gave a break breath and whisper. "Toya..." he tried to focus his eyes on his mate longer but soon his imaged blurred again.

"Tenko.." He muttered softly. Looking at the slit to see if he was giving birth to his eggs or not. He was beginning to panic, his mate looked a little bit lifeless.. And almost not moving.

The Mer looked at him as he gave a small whisper. "Hot.....I..it's so hot." He spoke as he tried to focus on the words. His body curled up a bit almost out of instinct which made him gasp and gag from the pain. His body shook for a few seconds.

"God, what do I do.." He muttered to himself as he held the other's face and inspected it. He was so confused.. He needed help, he didn't have experience with this obviously!!

The other leaned into his touch as he breathed in harshly every time. It felt like he didn't get enough oxygen. It felt like he was so hot, burning up from the inside. And he couldn't build even one coherent thought. Other than his body hurting so much and that he felt like he was so so heavy.

He gave a few gasps. "Toya...what....happening?" He spoke as his voice cracked and he needed time to even think about what the sentence was supposed to be.

"I don't know what's happening baby.. But I'll go get help okay? Just bear with me for 5 minutes max!" He reassured the other while creasing his face as he moved to the entrance of the cave. "I'll be right back!"

The other tried to reach out for him but even when he held his wrist he was so weak that it basically slipped out of his embrace immediately. He gave a whine as he watched the silhouette of Toya leave him. A small cry of pain left his mouth as he looked at the wall of the cave...

The world got blurrier as his heartbeat seemed to be pounding in every part of his body. Everything hurt. He didn't even know what happened until it got so so hot. So hot...and then black.

He returned back to the Atlantic palace. The guards bowing before the oldest Atlantic Prince as he rushed inside. He saw Natsuo and Fuyumi. "Where's mom? Where the fuck is mom this is an emergency!!" He yelled as his voice echoed through the halls. Swimming around and sprinting as he looked through every single room almost.
