Emesis Blue: The phoenix

Part 1

The respawn machine was the one thing that the teams relied on during the gravel wars. When the respawn machine malfunctioned it scared them. Every time it malfunctioned the person trapped inside; anyone could hear the screams from inside but could do nothing to stop it. When the respawn door opened the person who was inside was never the same again. After and between the gravel wars some of the teammates died and never respawned again. Some of the people from both Red and Blu still hated each other ever after the wars. Some of the teammates were prescribed medicine that was supposed to help ease the pain from nightmares and/or hallucinations. Some took the medicine while others either didn't take it at all or took too much of it. No one knows if the medicine worked or still worked.

You were one of the staff members from the Blu team's base. None of either of the teams knew of you or your existence so you weren't targeted by anyone. Even after the gravel wars you continued to work for Blu and at some point, you overheard that Jules Archibald went missing. That piqued your curiosity, but you knew better than to stick your nose into business gossip. Sadly, one of the teammates from Blu had to be fired because of medical problems. It was the Blu Scout; I was told he showed signs of schizophrenia.
