My hair on my head stuck to my scalp as I ran. Every breath in my chest measured fearing that this would be my last. I kept the image in my mind. Of my family. I had to get home from this mission or it would be my last. My life was torn between two things running and breathing. Keep going! I told myself. Every second I lived was worth it.
I breathed deeply smelling the warm summer breeze and. I was extremely nervous about starting collage and would need all my strength to just leave this drive way. Alesha!!! My mum yelled waving something in my face that I wished would just vanish beneath the clothes in my bag. "Thanks mum." I said awkwardly tucking my blanket away quickly. Her face was tear stained as she hugged me. "Be good honey!" she said "Yes mum." I replied quickly "Oh and do your work and don't stay up too late and foo all your work and-" "Mum!" I said putting my hand down firmly on her shoulder. I an a total science geek with a perfect reputation and going to this collage with a full academics scholarship! How much trouble could I possibly get into!? "I know honey just promise me you will work hard and call me everyday!" "Mum!" I said gripping her shoulders "I will be fine and I will call you." I closed the door in my car and pulled out of the driveway it was an amazing yet painful feeling leaving home. Seeing my mums face on the driveway as she waved goodbye the fact that I was leaving home was not quite dawning on her. Though there was defiantly the thrill that going to collage in just a few minutes!
