The cityscape transforms under the embrace of the setting sun, casting long shadows and bathing skyscrapers in a warm, amber glow. The once vivid blue sky mellows into a soft palette of warm oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun begins its descent.A spacious room adorned with rich furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a panoramic city view. The desk meticulously organized with polished executive tools, stands as a symbol of authority.
Inside the CEO's office Lee Jieun, listened carefully to the information Jong-han has for her regarding the email that he received from last night. After being enlightened about the event, the boss let her choose whether she'd like to go or not.
"I'd love to! I mean, I get to perform and interact with my fans. I haven't been up in a stage in a fair amount of time now as I've stopped with promotions of songs."
Of course. Jong-han should've known better that Jieun would say yes. She loves performing, she loves showcasing her talents, she went through hardships to reach this stage. It's just hard for him to let her go after the threat that they've received.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes." Jieun answered with a smile, but was taken aback when he had to make sure if she wanted to perform, "Why?"
Jong-han never questions stuffs like this as he's always up to support her decisions, unless out of line. Because of that unfamiliarity, Jieun was confused.
The CEO scrambled to find the right words to her. He still doesn't know nor have the courage to tell her how someone is out to harm her and other people. He doesn't want to put her under massive stress and anxiety.
Jong-han could only curse internally at his own words before coming up with an excuse to reassure her, "It's nothing, Jieun-ah. Don't mind me. I'm just trying to make sure is all since the event organizer would need to work on the line ups."
He could only wish that the issue would be resolved by their security unit as soon as possible, along with the CTRC. He's put all of his trust that Kunwoo and the others would make sure that Jieun and other potential victims would be safe from the anonymous.
The CTRC, or also known as Cyber Terror Response Center, a cybercrime section of the NPA has already been informed regarding the threat they've received. Seeing that EDAM's cyber security having no luck with the issue, Jong-han decided to reach out for bigger help.
This was kept a secret between these parties. If people found out, everything would be in a mess, and the anonymous would have better opportunities to strike. A silent battle was the best choice they can come up with as they could only brace themselves for what's to come, but, they've agreed to soon tell the other companies to strengthen their defenses.
"Oh, is that so... I thought there was something wrong for a minute there." Jieun let out sigh of relief hearing Jong-han's response, "I'll get to perform eight for the first time in a stage too." She added, ecstatic about the idea.
"Yeah! I'll make sure to tell them you'll be attending." Jong-han returned, his hands busy on his laptop as he's already on his way to inform the coordinator.
"We're looking forward to your performance, Jieun-ah." He continued, a proud smile on his lips.
"Yes, thank you, sajangnim."
On the midst of their conversation, the door to Jong-han's office suddenly clicked open. The person behind it soon revealed to be Yejun as he welcomed himself, stepping inside the room.
His naturally tired eyes landed at the two figures before him, "Yo."
"Oh, Yejun. Can I help you?" The boss inquired, clueless to why he wanted to see him. This surely can't be about the illegal trade of arms since it was just earlier when he handed Yejun the money and he expected it to take a few days, but boy, he was so wrong.
