I wake up completely on top of Jisoo.

Her arm is wrapped around me and half of my body is just on her.

I blink and start to pull away slowly.

I move her hand the slightest bit and immediately, she flips me onto my back with her above me. She grabs my wrists and pins them beside my head. Jisoo stares down at me with wide alert eyes. Her face looks hard and intimidating.

The grip on my wrist is painful and it probably shows on my face because the tenseness on her face goes away and her grip loosens.

"Jennie..." she murmurs and gets off me. She stands beside the bed and rubs her face.

"Sorry. Muscle reflexes," she explains casually.

I just nod silently and watch her grab her phone and go to the adjacent bathroom.

That was....I'm not gonna lie....that was shocking.

My phone rings and I pick it up.

"Lisa? What—"

//"Come back to base! A bomb went off and they're calling everyone!"

"I'm coming!" I say quickly and hang up.

I run out of the bathroom and quickly grab my day clothes.

"Is everything—"

"I got called to go back immediately. I'll see you at the new apartment. I'll call my mom to come get you."

She slides out of the bed and comes closer to me. "Are you okay?"

I quickly pull off my shirt and she widens her eyes and spins around.

I change into a normal T-shirt and jeans. I curse that my mom didn't pack my gun but honestly, why would she? She hates the weapon.

I grab my phone and start to call Lisa again.

"Care to pick me up on your motorcycle?"

//"On it Boss."

I grab my dress shoes and run out the door.

When I get to the base, everyone is huddled in the center and my boss, the Chief General of the Army, looks furious.

"Why weren't you closer?!" He yells at me. "You should've—"

"I had my wedding yesterday sir. I woke up and barely escaped my wife's arms to get here. Just tell me what's going on."

He shuts up but still throws me a glare as he pulls up something on the big screen.

"There was a bomb blast in one of the corner areas of Seoul. No civilian harm. Just building destruction. The government wants us to put it under wraps as a construction mishap while we catch the criminal."

I nod and cross my arms over my chest. "Do we have any leads?"

He shakes his head. "None. For all we know, it could just be a high school kid's prank gone wrong. We haven't had a bomb blast here in a long time. This significantly affects our ability because we don't have much data."
