For the third time in a day, a human girl materialized out of nowhere. Marcy looked around wildly, not believing her eyes. 'It-it worked!' she said out loud to herself. 'It..It actually worked! I mean, the box said...but I didn't think...It actually worked!' she cried out in happiness. She threw her arms up into the air. 'But..Where's Anne and Sasha?' she asked herself, looking around. Not seeing them, her euphoric mood dampened.

They're somewhere else in the city, she told herself, and she returned to her joyful state. She picked out her journal from her pocket and opened it. 'I'm gonna name you...Jo.' she then looked around and her first observation was the climate. From the moment she had arrived, she had felt the cold. There was snow falling from the sky that covered the tops of the buildings. They were very high up, so she figured they must be on some sort of mountain. There were walls surrounding the city she was in, and there was a castle in the center of the city. The city itself didn't look too modern..But she reminded herself looks can be misleading!

Marcy ran towards a large flight of stairs so she could explore the city, but she slipped on a frozen step and went hurtling down the stairs. She let out cries of pain. Luckily, she stopped herself from falling too far down by clutching on the railing, but by the time she managed to do that, her leg was already broken.

Whimpering in pain, Marcy slapped her face in annoyance with herself. 'Note to self: Don't let your good mood distract you from the fact ice can easily form on steps of this design in such a cold climate! Oh, I wish Anne was here...' she said while she endured the pain. She decided she might as well call for help. And so she did. For a while, no one came, and she was afraid she'd freeze to death. But then, a voice called out to her. 'Who's there? What's happened?' the voice was a female one. 'Over here! Up the steps! I've broken my leg. Help me!' Marcy cried.

A sort of humanoid being was walking over to her. She had the basic human body-parts but some were much different. Her skin was a light blue and she had navy hair. She was wearing a heavy fur coat. She had kind eyes.

The person gasped when she saw Marcy. 'A-a human?' she spluttered out. Marcy nodded. She had suspected that humans would be a rarity in another world, but obviously there had been others before her and her friends, as this lady had heard of humans before.

The person quickly pulled themselves together. She draw a circle in the air and suddenly Marcy felt the pain leave her leg...and a cast had appeared on it, along with a crutch in her hand. Only one explanation was possible: magic. Marcy looked in wonder. She had played games depicting it, but this was the real thing.

The lady extended her hand and got Marcy on her feet. 'May I have your name?' she asked politely. Marcy smiled. 'Marcy. Marcy Wu. Nice to meet ya! Could I have your name too?' she asked happily. The woman nodded. 'I am Lady Olivia. Advisor to the King of Kneetopia. It is nice to meet you too.' she spoke in a posh manner, and Marcy liked her already. 'Kneetopia? So that's where we are..' she said as she thought. All of sudden, Marcy's curiosity couldn't be contained, and she began asking questions.

'What's the history of this place? What are the people here? There's royalty here? Are you royalty? Are we on a mountain? Where are we going?' she said all of this without a breath, and then gasped for air. Lady Olivia laughed. It was one of those sounds you wished went on forever. 'Firstly, we have a very complex history. Really, it all begins like all history here starts. Or at least, ancient history. The Boiling Isles. The Isles are formed from the-' Lady Olivia was then cut off by Marcy. 'Why's it called the "Boiling" Isles?' she noticed the look on Olivia's face and quickly rushed on. 'Sorry, Sorry, couldn't help myself.' Lady Olivia shook her head. 'It is natural to be curious about things like these, especially for a being totally foreign to this very world!' she said in her voice as they cautiously walked the slippy ground as they headed towards the palace.
