Near The End Short Stories

Story 1

Martha owns a brewery. Outside the brewery it is storming like crazy. Martha is stuck for the next hour in her brewery. She began to walk along the walkway. In her frustration, she accidentally pushes one of her workers off the walkway. "You will take the fall for this" she screams to one of her workers. She walks towards her office. She opens the fridge and starts calling 999. Moments later, the paramedics arrive. A very stern paramedic starts questioning her about the accident. She points to the worker she blames for the accident. At that moment, the paramedic announced that the worker was pregnant. The paramedics leave for a closed space. At that moment, her right-hand man asks her. "Aren't you afraid?" She doesn't care about her workers. She views every single one of them as replaceable. All of a sudden, through the front door came this young and bright-looking anaesthetist. He asks for the fallen lady. Martha points him in the right direction and starts walking to the room with the man. In the room, the man pulls out a weird little doll. He holds it up to the lady and lays it on her stomach. The surrounding air swiftly turns black. The doll came to life. It starts floating towards Martha. As it speaks the words "I will end you for this." Martha's blood runs cold as she starts sprinting away through the building to the exit. The doll follows close behind her, following her every move. She sprints outside. Into the raging storm, into the pouring rain. She has lost track of the doll but still feels its presence. She hears the doll whispering in the distance about the horrible things she did. She runs further trying to get away. Without success, the doll is still there. At that moment, she comes across a house. The lights in the house are still on. She knocks on the door. Standing in the doorframe was a woman. You can see from how she looks she had a rough day being a party planner. Martha tells her about the doll. The woman is uncertain if this complete stranger is speaking the truth. How could she believe such a weird story from a complete stranger? The woman slowly closes the door and greets her goodbye. In the darkness of the night, the doll appeared. Tied to the doll now is a blue balloon. The balloon pops. In front of her are all the people that died because of her. Martha screams and begins sprinting away. She comes across the park. Here she finds a small little wooden bench. She began to cry. Balled up onto the bench. A stranger comes walking towards her and asks her what's wrong. "This doll is haunting me," Martha says quietly. "Everyone keeps ignoring me." The stranger starts hugging her. She calms down. She feels safe for now. But she knows that the doll is still there and will always be there, til the day the doll gets its revenge.
