Chapter 31

She was commemorating all memories she had as she stared at the small bungalow house where she spent all her teenage years. She could still vividly remember how rebellious she was then, making her earn the name as the black sheep of their family and a bad influence for her friend.

At first, she was reluctant to do this favor. She's already in that age where she's prone to sickness and it was too risky for her health to travel far. But her reluctance was replaced with interest and intrigue after meeting her friend's daughter.

"Hindi pa po ba kayo papasok?" Magalang na tanong sa kaniya ng dalaga.

She just smiled at her before silently nodding her head. Without wasting any seconds, Lea followed the young lady. She'll have to see the reason why her son was head over heels in love with this young woman.

I'm going to have so much fun here. Lea giggled at that thought. She can't wait to make her own son jealous.

The young woman toured her even though Lea already knew her way around the whole island-she spent her teenage years here after all. She doesn't want to deceive the young woman but she also couldn't have the heart to break the young woman's enthusiasm while touring her around. After a few minutes, they both entered the dining room to talk about their terms and conditions regarding her work.

"May gusto ka bang idagdag o baguhin, hija?" Tanong ni Lea sa dalaga pagkatapos sabihin ang sariling mga kondisyon.

The young woman showed reluctance before bravely voicing her own suggestions.

"Excuse me, but I don't actually like the fact that you'll be staying here with me even on weekends. I don't want your family to feel neglected, especially your sons."

Lea smiled at how thoughtful the young woman is. Wala siyang problema sa mga anak niya pero malaking diskusyon ang hindi niya pag-uwi kung ang asawa na niya ang pag-uusapan. At the end, they both agreed on the terms and conditions that will benefit them the most.

It has only been a week since Lea started taking care of Kristel and she could already tell that the young woman has a charm that makes everyone around her fall for her-and she was not an exception. She doesn't want to be biased but the young woman effortlessly earned her perfect points. Natural na mabait at maalaga ang dalaga, she was also very indulgent and generous which makes Lea adore her more.

"Alam kong babae ang alaga mo but that doesn't mean I'm not jealous! Mi amour, stop smiling that way. Ako lang dapat ang nakakapagpa-smile sa'yo ng ganiyan!" Reklamo ng reklamador niyang asawa.

Lea ignored her husband but the old man recruited his son to bother her.

"Look at your Mom, she kept on smiling sweetly. She has been talking nonstop about that woman. Your Mom is abandoning us! She's neglecting me, son!" Pagdadrama pa ng bakulaw. "Mag-react ka, Teodomero! Talk to your Mom! I'm sulking! Hmph!" Aniya pa bago tumalikod. Facing the wall was Hernan's way of sulking making his wife and son shook their heads.

Teodomero was worried but every time he saw how genuinely happy his Mom was he couldn't just tell her to stop. As long as she's enjoying what she's doing then he has no choice but to support her, but he could no longer set aside his Father's complaints.

He leaned to his Mom then whispered, "He has been missing you so much that he can't sleep in your room alone. He would drag me and Jeric to sleep with him these past few days."

Lea shook at her husband's childishness. She heaved a deep sigh before walking towards her sulking husband to share very valuable information that could make his mood change faster than the Philippine's internet connection.
