A.L.E.N - Between Shadows (Chapter 2)

Act 25

And the girl looks at Cathleen and says, "Cat! Oh my god, you are here!" and Sam, with excitement and happiness, gave a big hug to her big sister.

Liam is a scene, and immediately Cathleen, who looks suspicious and wonders to know what's going on, goes there to ask, "Excuse me, officer? Is there something wrong?"

Liam raised his hand, and Chief Fred was annoyed by that, he said. "What now?"

The two police officers look at Cathleen and ask her, "Sorry, who are you two? Some friends or something?"

Cathleen looked very serious and said, "My name is Cathleen Ross; I'm a police officer back in North Carolina, and that little girl over there is my sister Sam, and Liam here is a journalist."

The police officer interrupts her, "Listen here, Miss Ross. We have everything under control, okay? We don't need anyone else interfering with our case."

Cathleen responds, "So, I presume that you officers have a plan for this case."

The police officer, James, looks confused at Chief Fred. "Yes, sir, what was your plan... again?"

Chief Fred was a bit nervous trying to respond to that: "Well, we do have a plan for the case, and the plan is to try to get some information from the people to chase someone."

Liam interrupts by helping the chief Fred out, saying, "What if you officers try to find a way to catch this guy without chasing him? Let him come to you," and Alen slowly looks at him, rolls his eyes, and then looks away.

And Chief Fred was curious and serious at the same time, trying to confront Cathleen, saying, "How are you so certain about it, Miss?"

And Liam made a fist and interrupted the officer, "He killed my father, known as Michael Walf. It seems like that guy has something to do with Walf's family. and Cathleen added, "Maybe he is Alexander Walf?"

However, police officer Fred laughs and disagrees with them: "Listen, Alexander Walf has been dead since that first incident that happened in 1977. So it's impossible that this insane idiot and lunatic is him. I don't believe it," and Alen looked pissed when the police officer said that.

And everybody leaves, as the old police officer puts on his gloves and talks to his co-worker, "Do me a favor. Contact Mr. Robert Rogers; I need to talk to him," and the police co-worker nods, "Yes, sir. I'm on it," and they entered the car and left.

And Sam looks annoyed, saying, "How rude."

Cathleen agreed with Sam as she crossed arms. "Yeah. And very suspicious, I must say."

Sam nods with a big smile, looks at Liam, and says to Cathleen, "So, Cat, who do we have here?"

And Cathleen introduces Liam to Sam: "Liam, it's my little sister, Sam Russ. Damn, it's my boyfriend, Liam Janson."

Sam looks at him and says, "Ah, nice catch, big sis," tapping on Cathleen's shoulder.

Cathleen gets a bit embarrassed. "Sam?! Stop that," Sam just closed-lipped smiles, and Liam just laughed.

Liam looks at the flyers that Sam was holding and calls out, "Your school is organizing a Halloween festival."

Sam nodded with a "yes" and added, "Ah! By the way, Dad is at the school decorating it for the festival. You can still catch him there."

Cathleen looks at Liam with a smile, and Liam looks back at Sam by saying, "Sure, we can go there. And pay a little visit to your father."

And Cathleen was excited; Liam just smiled; however, Sam noticed Alen as he walked away suspiciously, despite not knowing who he was because of his disguise.
