EXT - Suburban Neighborhood (Midnight)

"Sensei cautiously creeps up the walkway to an old friend's house, checking his surroundings as he did so. The night was calm, and the neighborhood was so quiet that he was worried his footsteps may wake the neighbors. As he approached the door, the lamp porch turned on, making it easier for him to find his way through the darkness. He calmly rung the doorbell and took a step back so he would be visible through the peephole. He waited patiently as he saw a lights inside the house the turn on from the window and heard the heavy footsteps of a heavyset man approach the doorway. The man spoke to Sensei through the door"

(Deep voice with a heavy Russian accent) Who is it?

Sensei
A friend.

"There was a pause and then finally the door finally opened, revealing a large Russian man with a bald head, a thick brown and a large beer belly. He stepped aside to let Sensei in"

Sensei
(Crossing the threshold) Ivan, I see you've been enjoying your beers.

Ivan
(Closing the door behind him) Yes well, some of us don't have the luxury of retirement like you do, Kirk.

Sensei
(Looks back at him in surprise) Kirk? I'm surprised you didn't call me by my other name.

Ivan
(Walking past him) I know you rather not be called by that name anymore. Brings back trauma. I thought you left that life behind you?

Sensei
I thought so too.

"Sensei walks forward, being greeted by a large living room beyond the front door. To the right of the room was a divider wall, separating the living room and the kitchen. The the left was a sitting area, complete with a brown leather couch and a black rocking chair situated in front of a small television on a wooden entertainment set. The carpet was a golden brown, as was the walls, which gave the room a cozy feel. He watches as Ivan sits in the rocking chair, grabbing a can of beer from the side of the chair as he did so"

"Sensei calmly sat down on the couch, watching as a thin, middle aged Asian man with jet black hair lifted a large golden trophy in front of a roaring crowd on the TV."

Ivan
This is a...how do you call it, classic? Peak Storm performance. And watch what happens next!

"Sensei and Ivan watched quietly as there was a big explosion on screen, creating a light so bright that it soaked them in a blinding white light. The sound of people screaming in terror as the stadium around them collapsed came next, followed shortly by a no single screen as the broadcast went offline. Ivan laughed to himself, taking a sip of his beer as he turned the TV off"

Ivan
(Slight smirk) What a way to go out with a bang, huh?!

"Sensei gives him a stern look. His smirk slowly fades away"

Ivan
I've seen the news. This guy, Brutus...he seems like a problem.

Sensei
Before Darius died he tweeted that the person responsible for blowing up the venue had a black mask with a skull imprint. The highway massacre (points at the TV) isn't his first move.

Ivan
I thought that tweet was deleted?

Sensei
By who? Darius is dead.

"Ivan takes a another swig of his beer in a moment of silence as he stared at the blank TV screen"

Ivan
Look, Kirk, there are things going on that may be bigger than us. You should just enjoy your retirement.

Sensei
As long as I have this (untucks his dogma from his shirt) I can fight.
