|| Welcome to the Herta Space Station Data Bank. Please, introduce your researcher ID. ||

Pale, synthetic fingers-human in appearance yet clearly artificial-glided across the holographic screen effortlessly, the ball-joints between each section of the appendages not limiting their movement at all.

With machine-like precision and speed, the owner of the cold, inorganic hand typed in a specific code, and the holographic screen turned into a purple hue, the text changing into a more...elegant font.

The text disappeared, and the screen showed various folders, containing information about the various research projects, Curios, and subjects in the space station.

Scrolling down mindlessly, past the thousands of folders that weren't worthy of taking up precious space in her brain, she arrived at the last two folders.

Decorated differently than every other folder in the data bank, due to being her personal projects, these two were only accessible to her and the few researchers she handpicked herself for the job

Decorated differently than every other folder in the data bank, due to being her personal projects, these two were only accessible to her and the few researchers she handpicked herself for the job.

Not like she needed the extra hands-Who would, when you have countless puppet bodies you can remotely control at all times?

No, most of the researchers were there for procedures she either couldn't bother to do herself, or didn't want to spend her time doing.

She glanced at the one named "Simulated Universe" and scoffed. She had been forced to change the name of the project from the original "Metaverse" cause Stephen said that name was a "cringe trend to jump onto" or whatever. Weirdo...

Shaking her head, she opened the folder named "Subject Singularity", making various documents appear, enumerated by their date, with the earliest one originating little more than a year ago.

She clicked on that one and began reading. The writing was quite messy, unlike how herself would document information, but to be fair she had only began personally assessing this subject after the first few reports. The life of a genius was a busy one, after all.

A strange thing happened today during our weekly supply ship arrival at the space station Supply Zone.

The ship pilot reported a strange finding that had left her and the crew completely baffled, and showed us the unconscious body of a man.

A quick tap on the screen, and it changed to show the image of a mature lady, probably around her late twenties to early thirties, wearing a certified IPC pilot badge on her rather casual attire.
