As Sparks started to move Digit's unmoving body around, Luna was standing behind him with her fingers intertwined and pressed to her forehead, shielding her tight shut eyelids. She began muttering prayers under her breath as the obnoxiously loud sound of wires being messed with rang out in the entire clearing.
Her shoulders tensed up more and more as the seconds passed, body trembling as she anticipated and dreaded for the moment an explosion would blow everything up and her eyes would open to the very image of hell.
However, it never came.
Her eyes shot open as the familiar sound of an activation echoed, a gasp soon following the opening of two pitch black eyes.
"DIGIT!" She shouted in pure euphoria as her vision blurred with tears of joy, her body instinctively diving before landing on her knees and squeezing the bot in her arms like her life depended on it. "You're here! You're really here! I can't believe my eyes!"
An electronic hum responded to her as the Tiny being seemed to bounce on her lap, the two eyes narrowing to form two perfect half-circles that faced the sky. She had recognized the behavior as a sign of happiness. The noise sounded distorted and the bright orange paint she had applied a few months ago had faded to a faint and dirty beige due to the lack of maintenance, yet, she couldn't find her special little guy more perfect.
Sparks, who had been idly watching this whole time, eventually joined the hug, resting his head on Digit's smaller one. "Welcome home, little guy."

"Digit!" Luna called, temporarily stopping the chomping of the fresh batch of vegetables underneath her hands as she turned around, her black hair cascading down her back. "Can you please boil some water for Mama?"
A positive response came from the bot, his flamboyant orange body disappearing around the corner in a flash as the sound of bubbles started to escape from the boiler.
The woman sighed in content, eyes filling with a feeling akin to nostalgia as she reminded herself that it has already been two weeks since Digit has been found again.
That whole situation still seemed unreal to her, the odds of Digit getting on the new planet were way too slim to have actually occurred and yet, her bipping Digit charm was always here to remind her that her special little guy was really here.
She couldn't be happier about that.
Another electronic hum got her back into reality as she realized the room temperature had increased slightly. There Digit stood, his stomach case slightly ajar and letting steam escape from the hole.
"You shouldn't put that in your stomach's compartment, Digit." She gently scolded, grabbing the tea pot. "You know that moisture isn't good for you." The bot seemed to register the information, nodding after a few.
She smiled at that, reaching for him before petting his head for a little while. Digit bounced again, leaning against her hand. His body moved upward again and for a moment, he looked confused before his eyes turned into half-circles but this time, they were turned toward the ground indicating some kind of sadness.
"Digit? What's wrong?" Luna asked worriedly, stopping her activities and putting down her knife before kneeling down to her bot's level. Another electric hum responded to her question. It would just sound like gibberish to any other person but she was his creator, and she dared even say his mother therefore, understanding him was a piece of cake.
"You... wish you were a human?" She repeated, disbelief laced in her voice. "Why?"
Digit didn't respond this time.
