Signs

Chapter 4

Naira's POV
It's been exactly one week since my first shift. I have received so much training until I was so sore I think I would faint, but then the next minute or so am fully reenergized.
As time went on I discovered my strength was building, I can feel some small changes in me. It's like my body is changing but I can't explain it.
Am not just talking about the physically, am talking about both physical and mental changes.
I discovered that after wearing my sports bra today was breast was still pouring from it. I have gotten so toned it's scary, but not in the steroid taking kind of way.
My waist seems curvier and my hips seem more pronounced. And my tummy, it seems to be extra flat and firm, maybe as the result of all the training I have been getting this week.
Maybe I am over reacting and it's just the intensive training that is causing it then how do one explain my intellectual advancement all of a sudden, and even towards courses and subjects I hated as I could never get any of it right.
    The other day these university students in the pack library who were taking their final exams were arguing over some stuff in physic. I was sure I haven't even heard about before now. They came to me asking me to explain something I couldn't even under. But all of a sudden it was like I knew what to say, and then I stood there explaining a bunch of things I didn't even know about to the kids.
They were both so happy, and said they understand the whole subject now better than. I haven't told anyone about these changes. I don't want them to start looking at me differently or like something was wrong with me, or even that look of pity I sometimes see on their faces when they think I am not looking.
I have been wearing over sized cloths so they don't see all the physical changes and I control what I comment about or give opinions about so that I don't giving myself away.
For the past week I have been having ten hours of training. My brother insists I would be part of the next wrestling competition. If I get beaten I would take the position of the Omega until I take back my position as the Alpha.
That alone was enough to make me tighten my belt. Alex has been wonderful, he trains me like one on the guys.
The competition is tomorrow, so today my brother is taking me to the lake and sparing with me since Alex told him I almost beat him, and he was no longer a match for me and the Beta should continue teaching me from now on.
My brother rather skipped the Beta and decided that he would be the one to teach me as he has decided I would be competing with the Beta for the competition then he has to be the one to teach me.
"Are you ready?" my brother asked soon as I came down to the kitchen.
"You don't need that now, trust me" he said and led me outside and we started walking to the lake.
"Alex informed me that he took you by surprised and you changed into your wolf within a second and your cloths didn't rip to pieces, and when you changed back you cloths were on you looking newer than they were before?" he asked
"Yes..."I answered.
"Hmmm... Is there any other thing that has been happening which you haven't told me" he asked, I knew I was about lying because I would rather not have this conversation.
"You mean aside the fact that I can beat your Gamma who happens to be in charge of your Elite warriors..."
"... Hmmm...Let me think, Nope, there is none" I replied.
"You know I would not let anything happen to you right?" he said before shifting and pouncing on me without any warning of some sort.
I shifted immediately throwing him a little of guard and the fight was done. He was using experience and all I had was all my excessive strength to fight with, but still I won't give up.
    I used every trick I learnt from Alex but nothing worked. He kept on knocking up around as soon as I got close to him.
So this time around, clearing my head and removing the notion that he could beat me I left Control to my wolf allowing her to use her will and instinct to fight.
As soon as I did that, I was lost completely. It was like I had taken a nap and I wasn't even dreaming. It was like I seized to exist. It was total darkness.

I woke up to discover I was lying by the lake, with my brother lying naked not far from me. I stood up feeling refreshed, like I had been sleeping for hours.
I stood to my feet and went to the tree by the lake where we usually hind blanket for when we come to the lake. I picked up the biggest and closing my eyes I went to my brother and covered him up.
That was when I remembered that my brother and I had be fighting. He had so many injuries all over him. Somewhere really deep, but the one on his stomach was the most scary.
'Did I do this to my brother?' I asked myself and with that I started crying I didn't know what to do so I used my hand and covered the biggest cut on his stomach with a little pressure wishing I knew what to do.
All of a sudden rainbow colored lights where coming out of my hand. I Quickly I removed my hand from the wound and stared at it. I was scared of that that meant. But when I looked at the wound it had stopped bleeding. So out of curiosity I placed the hand on his stomach again and nothing happened.
Trying to remember what I had done, I remember wishing I could help him. So I placed the hand on the wound again and wished I could heal him and the lights came out of my hand and sealed up the wounds and there was not even a single trance that a wound had been there.
I was so happy so I went to the next wound which is almost as big as the first one and repeated the same process and then the same thing happened. So I healed all the big wounds allowing his wolf to heal him of the smaller scratches.
I sat on the floor after my healing session, feeling completely drained, then just before a minute I was fully reenergized again. This really needs some getting used to.
"Run... back to...to... the pack and ....call three of the ...elites to help...me to the clinic so... Dr. Ashley and...and... Valerie can try...to... stitch me up" by brother said bringing me back from where my thought had travelled to.
"Stand up... brother you only have small scratches on your skin... don't be such a whim." I told him trying to keep my voice playful, my voice breaking from haven not recovered from the shock of what I did to my brother, and then my ability to heal.
He looked at his stomach and the three wounds where no more so he sat up covering himself properly with the blanket.
"I am very sure I had a lot of injuries which would have killed a lesser wolf instantly, and I know it would have taken a full day to get my wolf to heal those injuries and another day to be without a scar if the injuries heal properly, so tell me what is going on here Nile, and this time try telling me the truth"
"I swear to you I didn't know I could heal another wolf. You are the first." I replied getting really worried.
"Alright then how did this happen, you almost killed me if I had not submitted to you. That was after you had wounded me so much could barely move. And when I submitted you went beside the lake and changed back to your human form, which was when I slipped away for just a few minutes and now you are without scratch even when I know I got you badly in some places because I was fighting control with my wolf"
"Malcolm I can't explain any of these things..." I said to him and went on to explain every single change I have experienced and how I get reenergized with a minute of being tired.
When I was done he looked at me confusion plastered on his face then he said
"The task the moon goddess has for you is really great, because she didn't even give the elders the gift of healing anyone. They like us can only heal themselves.
"You know you don't have to make me more scared about this situation I am already having sleepless nights over it." I told him
"Am sorrow that is not how I meant it, it just came out wrong. Am not trying to scare you"
"It's alright"
"I am beginning to feel I should send you to the twelve elders of china, they happen to be very good when it comes to fighting, both with their wolf form and human man. After the summer you will do your next trade there for a year and then return to do your final year" he said
"You want to send me away?" I exclaimed
"You more than any one knows how I don't like having you away from me, but I would prefer to be able to keep you save for ever than have you only a short time."
"Fine, I will think about it"
"There is nothing to think about, I would send you to go with Sawyer, with that you wouldn't feel so lonely and you would have someone to relay on" he replied
    I thought about it for a second and I knew that was the best solution,
"Ok fine, I will go ones the summer is over" I said
"And there is something else" I said to him remembering how everyone is going to start acting if they find out about all that happened here.
"Yes what is it?" he said me
"I was wondering if it's possible that we can keep everything that happened in this lake a secret between the both of us" I asked him
"Everything" he asked, and I knew he was talking about the outcome of the fight.
"Most especially that everything" I said to him
"As you wish sister" he said with a huge smirk on his face.
    Satisfied with the turn our conversation had taken, and what we had resolved, he stood up from the floor holding the blanket closer to him and headed behind the tree to look for a change of cloth.
    He came back a few minutes after looking better and presentable. Then he walked close to me and smiled.
"you know we are going to be with you all the way, throughout whatever task the goddess have for installed for you?" he said and I simply nodded
"And I will be died before I allow anything happen to you" he went on.
"I know" I said.
"Come on lets head pack to the pack" he said pulling me gently.
"Don't worry brother of mine I will always protect you, and when I am not there I will make sure to heal you." I said to him running away because I knew what was going to come next.
