The three arrive at Tara's pool and all start gathering their things
Jake grabs his sunscreen, towel, and his now dripping diet coke as he closes the car door
Tara is opening the gate with a key as Johnnie takes his car keys out of the vehicle and put them into a beach bag that Tara brought. He grabs the two remaining waters and places them in the bag before shutting the car door and walking towards Tara and Jake
The sun was already starting to set and was hitting the water that was calmly resting inside of the pool.

Tara was sitting on the edge of the concrete with her feet in the water while Jake was in a float, splashing water on Johnnie.
"Fuck off, man!" Johnnie said as he shielded his eyes from both the water that Jake was throwing onto him AND the sun that was unfortunately shining right in his face.
The group chatted and laughed for awhile while the position of the sun started to finally go down
Tara remained on the edge as she watched the beautiful colors that were emitted in the sky while Jake and Johnnie next to each other on a couple of lounge chairs
"The sky is beautiful this evening, isn't it Johnnie?"
Johnnie nods, not looking at Jake, afraid of what expression or, more-so color, that might pop onto his face.
"Yeah.."
Jake's hand inches closer towards Johnnie's lounge chair, and, closer towards Johnnie's inked hand in doing so
Johnnie reluctantly moves his hand further back out of embarrassment
With a disappointed look on his face, Jake starts to say something, but is interrupted by Tara walking by
"Heyyy lovebirds!" Johnnie looks over at Tara with a glare
"Wasn't there something you wanted to tell Jake?" Tara almost whispers towards Johnnie, looking at him with a cheeky smile
Johnnie quickly replies, "Uh- what? No. I don't know what you're talking about."
A little too quick.
Jake looks at Tara and she winks with a grin and she continues to talk with Johnnie
"You suuure? What was it- oh- weren't you saying something about how SE-" Johnnie's voice cuts off Tara's with an obvious hint of panic in it "-shut up, Tara!"
Tara bursts out into laughter while Johnnie stands up and walks towards the car embarrassedly
"Oh-Johnnie! Come on, I was just messing around with you!" Tara calls out
He sits in the car and thinks to himself, trying to calm himself down before going back to sit with Jake
Fuck, it's okay Johnnie. He doesn't know. What if she's telling him what I said right now? Shit...goddamn it why can't i just bring myself to tell him...

A few minutes later, Jake knocks on the window of the driver's side of the car where Johnnie was located
He rolls the window down
"Are you alright? Whatever Tara meant by all of that, i'm sure she didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
Johnnie sighed and looked at Jake
"No- it's..it's not about that.."
"So..why did you come out here?" Jake was genuinely worried that Johnnie could be upset with one of the two, if not both. But he insisted on hearing Johnnie's reasoning before jumping to conclusions.
"It's just..." he trailed off and looked over at Tara, who was still standing by the pool, holding her thumbs up
"Jake- I..."
