Now Triplets

Chapter 5

Naira's POV

I woke up very early. I could hardly sleep all through the night, today my friend was returning from the camp I was supposed to also be in.
This is the first time Sawyer and I have been separated for more than a day. We always went everywhere together. Did everything together even as kids.
Our first separation would have been really sad and disturbing if I didn't spend every day light training how to fight. But now I couldn't hold down my happiness of her arrival, and the interesting part of it is that our birthday celebration is in a few days. My real birthday is tomorrow as that is when I would be sixteen, and sawyer's is a day after that.
I was born July 14, and she was born on the 15. She always says we are twins but I was in so much of a hurry to come out so I left her behind when she was sleeping. I could totally agree about that because she really loves to sleep.
I stood from my bed and went into the bathroom to take care of my hygiene, and when I was done I changed into a sweatpants and an over sized shirt.
I ran down stairs to the kitchen to have breakfast. The pack house is where the Alpha stays. It's a very huge mansion with four wings, the east wing, the south wing, the west wing and north wings.
The alpha family occupies the west wing, the Beta's family, Gamma's family and Delta's family occupies the south wing, the singles who can't afford accommodations, the newly mated wolves all stay in the north wings and the north wing is where the packs hospital is.
The pack has a huge hospital which is opened to both humans and werewolves, but extreme causes that may lead to the asking of strange question are treated at the privacy of the pack house.
And also in the west wing we have laboratories where our experiments are carried out, not that that interest me.
"Good morning Nia" Gina the pack's cook greet me as soon as I entered the kitchen.
"Morning Gina, hope you had a good night sleep?" I asked
"Yes I did. Hmmm someone seems so happy" she commented
"Yes I am, my sister is returning from camp today" I informed her happily.
"Now that is a reason to be happy, so anything special you want me to make for her?" She asked.
"Maybe her favorite spaghetti and stake, and chicken, and you could also make her that your special smoothie, you know how much she enjoys it" I told her excitedly
"How come all you have mentioned just makes me feel like I asked you what special thing I should make for you?" she asked with laughter in her voice. I took a deep breath and gave a duh look.
"Hello, Sawyer and I are twins, just not from the same womb, so we favor the same things" I answered and she started laughing.
"You both are real twins not doubt there, now what do you want for breakfast?" she asked me
"Nothing special, anything you are making for my brother and his mate is just fine with me." I told her
"But you know you have to teach me how to make that barbecue sauce you did the other day, it was different it had a flavor I couldn't pick out"
"It's the usual sauce I just added dried olive and that nutmeg you in-law's twin sent for us. I think there is something mixed in it but she refuses to talk about" she told me
"I will get it out of her the time I see her, I have my way with her" I said with a mischievous smirk on my face.
    She placed in front of me a plate of scrambled eggs sausage and fries.
"Why are the fries there?" I requested from her
"That is what the pregnant Alpha requested for, you should never ask to eat the same thing a craving, hormonal pregnant woman asks for" she advised to which I simply laughed.
    I picked up the ketchup bottle and poured it generously on my plate. As it turned out fries, scrambled egg with sausage wasn't bad, in fact I requested for more.
After eating I went outside and sat at the swing, swinging gently and waiting for the arrival of my friends. I soon got tired of waiting and decided to go to the lake and chill for a bit.
I was only there for a few minutes when my wolf started inching to be let loosed. I shifted and went for a run. I ran as fast as I could which was really fast.
I went around our pack territory and return to the lake, but I wasn't still feel at ease so I went again, and when I got to the lake the second time, I could feel my wolf was now calm and at ease, so I shifted back removed my cloths and went into the lake for a swim.
I was at the late when I felt the nudge one get when someone is trying to communicate with you through the packs link. So I brought down my walls and my brother's voice drifted into my head.
'Where the hell have you been? Been trying to communicate with you for the last ten minutes'
'I went for a run and right now am at the lake taking a swim' I replied.
'Get your ass here right now' he screamed in my head and cut the link immediately because he knew what I would do to him.
    I took my time getting out of the lake and sun drying myself, I would have to shower a little and moisturize myself when I get to the pack.
    I got dressed and started my walk back to the pack in a leisurely pace. A walk which was supposed to last me only five minutes ended up taking me fifteen minutes.
    When I got to the pack house my so loving brother wasn't even in the pack, and asked his mate to tell me to make sure am at the pack when it's time for lunch, as he had something to tell me.
    I heard the sound of a car in the drive way as I was about to go upstairs. I stopped and went outside and the car which I had heard came to a stop and the door opened and out stepped Sawyer.
    I screamed and ran to her and lifted her from her floor spinning her around. I was happy she was back now I would have my accomplice with me. I didn't even notice another person coming out of the car, until I was done with all the hugs and spinning.
"You remember Amanda don't you?" Sawyer asked
"You are kidding me right?" I asked her, I went to Amanda and hugged her tightly and then when she was more relaxed I took her off guard and started spinning her around the same way I did with Sawyer and she scream.
"Put me down, put me down" she kept screaming until I did. She looked at me and then at Sawyer and the three of us busted out laughing
"I didn't know you were coming I would have brought out the red carpets" I told Amanda when our fit of laughter had died down.
"And you didn't think of bringing it out for me, now am jealous" Sawyer said feigning anger and a sad face
"Am sorry my dear twins" I told her.
"It's alright, I don't mind you can go get it" she said
"Right away ma"
"But you are still standing here" she said
"It burned early this morning so how about next time I do it"
"How convenient..." she replied "...and by the way we are no longer twins we are now triplets" she continued.
"Really how is it possible we have a third sister that I didn't know about?" I asked
"Because she is also from a different womb, we are too much hazel for one womb to carry" she replied
"She was born a day before you" she informed me.
"Really and who is this person?" I asked
"Have you gone dump just a week without me?" she asked with a duh tone and then continued.
"She is standing before you" she said and Amanda just laughed.
"Oh my god. Really? Amanda you are the third sister? You couldn't be more perfect even if we had to pick you out ourselves."
"I have a new theory of our birth now" Sawyer the ever story teller said.
"Ok what is it?" I asked her
"when we were in the womb, Amanda left and we couldn't reach her, so me and you decided that we would go meet her, but that morning I was so sleepy so you decided to go alone, and when you didn't come back and neither did Amanda I finally woke up and came out"
    Amanda and I stared at her for a while wondering how she reasons.
"You do know that we were in different womb right?" Sawyer asked her.
"Yes I do" she replied.
"Anyway we have been out here for so long let go in am sure lunch would soon be served" I told the girls, and chatting we walked into the house.
    We went up stairs to my room chatting and they were making different comments while I filled them in on the few preparation about our birthday.
    I took the shortest shower even known to mankind and came out to moisturize my skin and put on another cloth.
"I haven't been feeling too good since morning. One minute am fine and the next and either cold or hot" Sawyer complained as we were coming down from lunch.
"You know that was how I was feeling all through the previous day before my first shift" I informed her
"The same thing happened with me. I thought I was coming down with something, but then it takes more than flu for such symptom to show in a wolf" Amanda supplied
"But sometimes its trances if wolf bane that has such effect on a wolf" i replied
"Yes but when the bane is diluted with sodium chloride or an alpha's blood to calm its effect and slowly kill a wolf" Amanda added.
"Ok girls enough of your chemistry or whatever gibberish you both were talking about, am hungry."
"Let's walk faster if not those wolfs will devour all the food before we get there" I added.
When we got to the dining table only my brother, his mate and Beta Jake were sited.
"I think you are eating for four, triplets and yourself" I told my brother's mate.
Her mouth was packed with food so she couldn't talk but glared at me.
"Hey dear Alpha of mine, let me introduce you to this third sister of mine who from now in has to be your sister to or disown you" I said and he just stared at me like I was mad or something.
"This beautiful lady standing before you is by name Amanda Monroe and she is the younger sister of Alpha Marshal Monroe" I introduced
Amanda bowed slightly as a sign if her respect then said
"Alpha Malcolm it's nice to officially meet you, the other day at the camp you were so engross with Alpha Howard" she said respectively and I couldn't help but snicker.
"Lord Jesus can you both loosen up it's like we are in the military" I scolded them bother and I head to a seat. Already Sawyer had her plate filled to the brim.
"You a welcome to my pack feel free" Malcolm told Amanda
"Thank you Alpha" I heard her say as I was no longer paying attention to them but concentrating on loading my plate. I didn't say another word after picking a plate and loading it up for Amanda who was sited beside me not looking comfortable, until I finished my first plate and went for round two.
"Gina sure out did herself with this meal"
"That is not enough reason to empty the food Alex who had joined us at the table while i was so engrossed in the meal.
"I thought we already established the fact that no one eats more than Naira in this pack" Daemon added.
"Yes Daemon console yourself with that. Am a young and growing wolf so it's only natural for me to eat much."
"That is why we are sisters she does the eating and I do the sleeping" commented Sawyer.
"Even you Sawyer I'm really heartbroken and really offended, I require from you an essay with one thousand reasons why I shouldn't disown you and I want it typed" I told her.
"How about because you love me" she asked
"Am beginning to wonder why" I replied to which she smirked.
"Can you people all leave my sister alone, she has a high metabolism that burns 100 times more than all of you, we the Garzero do, and it comes with the Alpha blood, so stuff yourself to death sister"
"Can someone tell me why I suddenly feel there is an insult somewhere in that statement" I asked and everyone started laughing.
"I think it's the stuff yourself to death Jake said.
"Thank you very much captain obvious" Amanda replied. And for the first time today i really looked at the both of them. There was a tension between those two. I would give it time but by tomorrow I'm sure going to find out.

Amanda's POV

As soon as I entered the dinning section the sweetest scent I have ever heard attacked me, the smile was similar to roses and strawberry mixed together, but there was not feminine about it.
I was about to comment until my eyes met with Jake and immediately I recognized him as my mate. It took all my will power to avoid running to him and request he marks me, he would so return the same treatment I gave to him.
After lunch, Sawyer was complaining how she was feeling a certain pain on her body, and I just knew she would soon start the process.
I was returning from dropping some of the dishes to the kitchen when I was pulled into a room along the corridor and from the sizzling shock waves traveling through my body I already knew who is was.
"You can't still claim you don't feel the pull, I can feel your wolf fighting you to be with me" Jake whispered to me
I couldn't trust my voice not to tremble so I just simply stayed silent and lifted up my face to him. Silently I was requesting that he kisses me. Knowing what I desperately needed he was holding out. I tried been patient because there is only a limit to how long he could wait.
Before I knew it he crashed him mouth to mine, giving and taking as much as he needed. I wasn't calm. The Alpha blood in me was fighting to be in control of the kiss. But he wasn't letting up.
I was matching him all the step of the way until he started trailing kisses around my shoulder my neck and before I knew it, all I felt was him canines digging into my flesh just at the hollow between my neck and shoulders and all I could think of at that moment was why this was happening now. Where had he been all through my life?
Just as just lifted me up and about to rest me on the couch in the office we had entered we both heard a silent shattering scream and knew what that was.
"My sister is about to start the shifting process, the first bone just broke and 349 more to go." I told Jake and he knew immediately that I needed to be there for her.
