Chapter 1

It's currently may of 2023. The ipl has ended and india tour of New Zealand is starting soon. All of the players have been practicing hard for the series.

"Ishan, you've been practicing since morning. You should get some rest" said siraj, who was bowling in the nets and ishan was on strike. He's in the playing XI in the upcoming series, so he's been practicing hard to make sure he gives his best for the country.

"Right. ishu, we have flight tomorrow, you should go home and get some sleep" shubman said, ishan's boyfriend. He was done practicing.

"I'll go on for another hour. You know, I barely get chances to play. I want to keep no stone unturned this time" ishan said, wiping the sweat off his forehead. Shubman didn't argue anymore, because he knows ishan isn't gonna listen. He too wants and hopes for his best performance.
He handed ishan a bottle of electrolyte drink and a towel to wipe off the sweat. After the drink break he returned the bottle and started his practice again.

Shubman and ishan confessed to each other a few months ago. They created so much feelings with the love and support that they realized they can't live without each other and feels more emotions than only best friends. They still remember the time when they first met in the U19 team. They started to sleep in each other's room whenever they had tour or game, went to hangout together and many more- which deepened their friendship and finally created a relationship.They still have fun, tease and prank each other like they always did when they were only best friends. Now they can't think of their lives without each other.

Crazy how Their mentality matches. they always care for each other, the bonding they share is truly incredible. None of them thought of having one another as life partners. But it has become the most important thing in their life. They know they really can't live without each other.

Shubman and ishan's relationship is private, they haven't confirmed anything to the media and they don't even want to make it public. Their family knows. Shubman's sister and ishan's brother accepted them happily, they had no complaints. They're just happy for their younger sibling's happiness. Because they've seen the love and support they have for each other and how they're always happy together, living their best lives. shahneel and raj were happy for their sibling for finding the right person.

Informing their parents about it was their biggest nightmare. Shahneel and Raj helped them but still they had to struggle a lot. Finally after so many dramas and emotional phrases, their parents accepted them.

They've also intentionally informed their teammates about it, because they know they won't judge them and accept them the way they are. And obviously, they supported these two and accepted them, because they're like a family. They're all happy that the two youngsters of their team found the love of their life at such a young age.But they don't miss an opportunity to poke fun on them and have a laugh.

The day of the 1st odi arrived.

Shubman always dreamt of opening with ishan. Now his dream has came to a reality and he couldn't be happier. It's without doubt that both of them are dedicated for their country, but still it was a moment of happiness for them.

*In the dressing room, before the match starts*

India lost the toss, rival team elected to bat first. The players were getting ready for the match. Shubman felt the urge to give ishan a moment of appreciation, right there. He waited for his teammates to go out of his eyesight. When the room was empty, only he and ishan was there. Ishan was preparing his bat, pad and helmets, right at that moment shubman quickly grabbed ishan's hands and dragged him into a corner of the room, pushing him against the wall.
