Narrator (POV)
The Next Morning...
After Ray had left and went M.I.A. on the boys. Roc walked Ali back to her hotel. Ali fell asleep in the hotel with Roc since Jasmine had their key and had left her. On the walk there, they had a small talk.
"Ali I'm real sorry about what happened last night, you know, this was supposed to be fun." said Roc.
"It's ok," laughed Ali. "It's life."
"You don't seem too happy." said Roc in a concerned tone.
"I'm not," said Ali.
"You wanna tell me why?" asked Roc.
Ali did. She was so confused. She liked Roc a lot, but she didn't know that there was just so much drama within that came with liking him. Back in L.A., things seemed so different. Being more than friends with Roc was different. Ali just felt Roc was gonna hurt her bad, she just felt it. She just wasn't sure if her feelings were worth the heartbreak. She didn't wanna regret anything with Roc, but that's how she felt. She didn't want to tell Roc this. She couldn't.
"I'm gonna miss you Roc," lied Ali putting on a fake smile.
"I'm gonna miss you too but I'll be back in L.A. next month and we can kick it babe, we can be together, no worries, no drama, just us." smiled Roc.
Ali smiled, finally the two made it to Holiday Inn, the hotel Ali and Jas were staying in. Roc walked Ali into the lobby.
"I'm gonna miss you Al," said Roc. He grabbed her arms and suffocated her into a long hug. Ali hugged him tight and wrapped her arms around him. Roc turned and leaned towards her face and kissed her. Ali hadn't kissed Roc in a long time, and kissing his lips felt good. She missed this.
"Ali I promise to Facetime you every night, every chance I get and you better come to the show in L.A. Even if Jasmine can't come." sighed Roc.
"I will, I promise, Roc just don't mess around with any girls ok?" sighed Ali.
"I promise I won't." said Roc. He kissed Ali's forehead. "You better not mess with any boys either" laughed Roc messing up Ali's hair.
"Roc I lov--", Ali stopped herself. She was gonna say something she didn't wanna say.
"What?" asked Roc.
"Roc I'm gonna miss you." sighed Ali
Roc looked at her and smiled. He knew that wasn't what she meant.
"I'll miss you too." whispered Roc.
The two hugged one last time before Roc left to go sneak back into the hotel before Walter or Kenneth noticed.
Meanwhile...
It was 5AM and Ray woke up with headache. He was confused. He looked up at the redish orange New York sunset. He was still on the hotel rooftop. "Oh shit," he thought, Ray looked over at him. Next to him was a brown skin girl with curly brown hair. Kiona.
"What the fuck??", yelled Ray.
Kiona moved over and woke up. Ray looked at himself, he was shirtless, his pants weren't even on, the girl just had her t-shirt and underwear on.
