"Um guys? I think we're lost."

"Don't be stupid, I'm sure Diosa knows where we are, don't you Dio?" My friend Daniel said, turning to me.

"Excuse me? When did I say I know where we are?"

"You literally live in front of the forest. Don't tell me you've never explored it," Elena said. She and Daniel are siblings, except Daniel is quite short compared to Elena. The only similarity between the two are that they both have curly brown hair and they both think I know everything.

"Guys, seriously, we need to figure out how to get back," Hugo insisted.

"Fine, I'll call my dad to come pick us up."  I grabbed my phone from my pocket and dialed my dad's number. One ring, two ring, three and....powering off?

"Seriously? I'm out of battery."

"So am I."

"Me too!"

"Ditto."

I sighed and put my phone away just as the rain started.

"Lets go find shelter.."

We started walking through the forest attempting to hide from the rain under the trees. It was interesting to watch the water droplets fall from the millions and millions of trees and hear the squelch of the mud from under our shoes, I bet Elena regrets wearing white sneakers.

Eventually, we found the back of an old, three story, cream-coloured building. We walked to the front and it had a massive sign saying 'Motel', so we walked in through the front door and greeted by the receptionist.

"Hello there lovelies! Do you have a reservation?"

"Um, no? Could we book a room for one night..?"

"Of course! Room 305."

She handed Hugo a key and then we walked up the stairs — which didn't have a railing? — and entered our room. For a crappy little motel the room was quite nice, it was small but it was clean. I walked over to the bed and put my phone on charge, I was only going to wait until it was on 10 percent so I could call my dad.
