"Ranks 5, 6, and 9 are deceased, while Rank 10 left the university." One of the school staff members had expunged the names and images of those who perished during the conflict between the headmistress and Ophiuchus.
"Mark, not here. I need that data. And also, I have a student who needs testing here."
"Sorry, Mr. Kugimiya." Mark lowered his head and signaled for his team to follow him out of the lab.
According to students, chaos ensued when Ophiuchus entered Elysian Astral University, and she was allegedly the cause of the headmistress having to eliminate Rank 1. The nature of their conflict remained a mystery.
No one knew the events that unfolded underground, except for the three individuals who fought passionately. Each had a distinct agenda— the headmistress sought power, Rank 1 fought for survival, and Ophiuchus was destined to vanquish them both.
"So what happened to them?" The young girl asked Mr. Kugimiya, the head of the laboratory, as she underwent examination.
"Who? The Rank 1 or Ophiuchus? Or the deceased?"
"Rank 1 and the powerful zodiac. Both of them. If the headmistress died, what happened to them now?" she inquired.
"We don't know. When we arrived underground, they were no longer there. It's as if they vanished into thin air," Kugimiya said, shrugging, his gaze fixed on the monitor. "But you know what I am sure of?"
"Tell me, tell me." She giggled.
"Ophiuchus can't be killed by a mere injury. The other zodiacs need to unleash their ultimate power to defeat them. And you can only use it once in a lifetime. If used twice, they will also perish. So, I believe Ophiuchus isn't dead... yet." Kugimiya smiled at the child. "Okay, Emily. You're a Leo. Are you ready to start school tomorrow?"
Emily flashed her cute smile at the laboratory head and nodded. "I will do my best to restore peace!" She giggled.
Kugimiya slowly nodded, but deep down, he knew that no one could restore it anymore— unless Rank 1 and Ophiuchus returned.
