Chapter - 4
___________"Come inside," Exel said and she highly doubted it was a good idea, it was far from a good idea.
"Uhm-I just got a missed call from my mom and you see-"
"Gimme your phone." He said plainly and made her blood crawl back down her spine.
"Wut? Oh I mean, yeah, you can see." She slowly gave him her phone by walking inside his den, I mean...room.
The heck it's a good idea, what if he sees something that would trigger him? It's not like she's hiding anything from anyone.
Her fingers trembled like nothing and went numb when he opened the contact and looked up at the list, her mom did call her some time ago.
She awkwardly hugged herself like she was cold, but that was just his mere presence and his eyes on her phone.
"You have his number saved?" Suddenly Exel frowned and looked at her, she blinked and her full mouth hung lower than her waist.
"No, I don't have his number ...saved?" She walked closer and peeked into her phone to find you.
"You don't?"
"No, I am not close with him, why would I have his number saved?" She looked innocent and flabbergasted.
Did Evon saved his number? Hell no, He despises her presence.
"I am calling your Mom." He said and placed her phone on his ear.
"Wh-"
"Hey, Aunt."
"..."
"Yeah, I am Exel...hmm...she's with me, you don't mind, okay...nice." He cuts the call and she stares at him.
Oh C'mon, Her mom doesn't like talking about him, but now talking with him and is fine with everything he says.
That's suspicious.
"Can I...get my phone back?" She reached for her phone thinking that he would do another stunt and maybe throw her phone out somewhere.
But he gave it to her and watched her getting relieved.
"Breakfast...remember?" He said.
"Breakfast...yeah." She repeated with a soft tone.
He went out and till then, she sat on the edge of her seat near the window as if he tried to experiment on her for whatever reason, she could happily jump outta his room through the window, the mini table in front of her was the only thing she could stare cause everything around her was scaring the shit out of her.
He wasn't there but she didn't make herself comfortable, she was tense and thinking about the most random stuff she could remember.
What did she dream last night?
Before that?
Or last year?
Did she like plain vanilla or white chocolate?
Why she was freezing even when he went out by switching the heater on?
So kept zoning out and coming back to life just to think about the infinite universe next to ours as he appeared and placed the breakfast in front of her.
She noticed how her plate was not as filled as his, he signed her to start and she did without thinking anything.
As they ate breakfast, Exel stared at her, she caught him looking at her as she smiled awkwardly and looked down, internally choking on choices she made some minutes ago.
