BUCK!!

The noise woke me up. Leaning against the table, I stretched and sat upstraight. I looked around and a thought popped into my head : "What thehell is that?"

"Doctor Tin!" The sound of someone calling my name caught my attention. Towards Aim, I see the young nurse resting her hand on the table.I realized that the voice I heard earlier was Aim's. She tried to wake me upby knocking on the table. "How can the doctor sleep when it looks like war is coming to the outside. Aren't you going to go out and help people?"

"...Oh, I'm so sorry." I bent down to reach for my favorite black stethoscope that had fallen to the ground earlier. "I'm just going to take aquick 10 second meal and then get back to work. I didn't know I'd fall asleep like this."

Aim took a quick glance at the food on the plate—it wasn't empty at all.

"Oh. Doc fell asleep while eating. Are you okay, do you need more rest?" I stood up and put the stethoscope around my neck. "Even if I'm unwell, have a fever, have diarrhea, faint or hit a truck, I won't be able to rest unless I'm dead." I looked at Aim who was standing with her arms crossed. "And even if I'm dead, I've got to 'rise from the grave' and go back to work."

Aim let out a small laugh. "Doctor is so funny, let's go outside now!"

I gave her a military farewell, then walked out and back from the small kitchen next to the Emergency Department. I've been trying to fix my messy hair that hasn't been taken care of for a long time. This is the worst time since I was born. I had just stayed up all night to finish a conference where I had been horribly criticized by the professor. Right after that, I had morning and afternoon shifts again with no time off. I wonder if it is right for me to continue my research path in the field of Emergency Medicine?

But it won't be long until my last year as a doctor at this hospital. Just a little more time, I will return to work at the hospital back home.

 ----------------------------------------------------------

The first thing I saw when I entered the Emergency Department was chaos,as if a civil war was about to happen. An elderly man in an emergency bed was pushed past me. N'Gap and N'Pin, the first and second resident doctors are running from bed to bed. Two others are in a similar situation. One of them ran over to receive the patient on the other bed, while the other saw me and acted as if he saw God.

"Doctor Tin, please help." It was Wan who spoke up.

I rushed over, Wan was taking care of a middle-aged man with breathing problems. Wan is a doctor who has just started working in the Emergency Department for a few days. He has very little experience in handling an emergency like this. My job is to guide and advise everyone on this shift."What is this case?"

"A 52-year-old man has asthma. He has been taking bronchodilators and inhalers. He was admitted to the hospital because he felt fatigued for more than 20 minutes prior to arrival. Functional vital signs were obtained. first: tachycardia, blood oxygen level 94% and wheezing sound (breathing) coming from lungs So I asked to prepare nebulizerfatigue. However, the amount of oxygen in the blood is still at a good level."

"Yes, but he's still breathing irregularly." I reached for my stethoscope, listening for breathing. I heard wheezing from both lungs and a very fast heartbeat. "He has to use his abdominal muscles to breathe. This is a sign of respiratory failure. The oxygen in his blood is fine but he is still very tired."

"Sir, you'll have to use a breathing tube." I told him and he just nodded because he was too tired to talk. "Preparing for endotracheal intubation.Take tube No.7.5 and 10mg of Valium " "Valium 7.5 and Valium tube" A nurse repeated my request and rushed to the equipment department.
