"So how was last night?" Jacob asks during breakfast as Penny and I begin to eat some cereal and toast-

We both nearly choke before Olivia clarifies while looking at both our expressions humorously,
"Any nice movies in the theater your group went to?"

Before Mum could comment I decide to reply,
"Yeah- we went and watched some movies that came from North America- and in English."

After I explain about the two movies our group watched, Penny decides to ask Mum something I haven't told her yet,

"So, if you're native to Ecuador, how is it you lived in Britain for so long and had MC and Jacob?"

Jacob and I exchange worried glances before Mum calmly replies,
"When I was very little, mi Madres moved to London to have a better life as Ecuador is not for the magical- and at Hogwarts I met... Peregrine."

After a moment of silence she continues,
"I went through many dark times over the years, but to have my boys here back in my old life even for a brief moment fills me with a happiness I haven't have in so long."

Mum then turns to Penny and asks casually,
"I've heard you have helped to arrange this excursion- anything interesting planned?"

Penny nods before responding, "We're actually going to Rio de Janeiro to meet up with one of our old professors and a few friends."

Olivia chimes in, "If I'm not mistaken, that would be Professor Sinestra, along with Diego Caplan and Alanza Alves."

"That's them- in fact, we ought to meet with the others soon- we wouldn't want to miss out on the excitement happening today, MC!"

I give my girlfriend a curious glance, "What sort of excitement are you meaning?"

After departing from Mum's new place in Ecuador, Penny and I use the Floo Network to travel to where the rest of the excursion has gone to, a very beautiful hotel in Rio-

Once we emerge from the fireplace, we come into contact with Sikander as he is talking to a tall, dark and beautiful witch-

I may have forgotten my small crush on Professor Sinestra back during the Astronomy class-

Sinestra greets the two of us warmly,
"MC and Haywood, I was just thinking about both of you- I take it this family reunion went well and you both are aware of what activities we are to take part in?"

I look over at Penny who chuckles softly,
"I may have mentioned that whole family thing to a few others..."

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my gossiping girlfriend can't keep a small secret, but that's what I love her for-

After I exchange a reluctant glance at Penny, Silander informs us casually,
"Oh yes, the others have already gone upstairs to pick out the rooms, so I hope the two of you don't mind being stuck with the short end of the stick-"
