Chapter 5: Enter The Digiverse

At Borg Tower, Cyrus Borg and PIXAL are hard at work finding a way to hack into the hard drive remotely and use the techno blades to erase the Overlord virus. However they are interrupted by the savage citizens, led by the postman, who are angry that Borg has kept PIXAL's power for himself. However, when everyone sees that the Overlord has started to drain Lloyd's golden power, the people are convinced that the ninja are trying to help them and leave to fight off the invading nindroids. Meanwhile, the ninja enter the Digiverse, realising that here they can use their imagination to reach the reboot station. However, due to Kai's lack of confidence, he needs help from the other ninja. At Borg Tower, Nya, Cyrus and PIXAL are attacked by the Overlord, who turns the platform the ninja are standing on into quicksand. The postman reports that they are outnumbered, meaning Nindroids were able to enter the tower. PIXAL was able to save the ninja by temporarily overwriting the corrupted code, freeing the ninja and warning them that they must destroy the Overlord before any more damage was done. Back at Borg Tower, Wu, the nindroids and Pythor arrive, greeted by Nya in her samurai mech. While Nya keeps the nindroids distracted, Pythor and Wu continue to the computer room to attack Borg and PIXAL. Back inside the Digiverse the ninja use their vehicles to climb the now upside down Borg Tower except for Kai, who is still not confident enough, and rides with Zane. Meanwhile, PIXAL has to protect the ninja by fighting Wu and Pythor. Cyrus Borg is kidnapped, leaving her alone against the duo. The ninja arrive at the reboot station and prepare to use their techno blades to erase the Digital Overlord, however, he takes a physical appearance and blocks the reboot code, forcing the ninja to try and move him.

PIXAL, still fighting Wu and Pythor, accidentally knocks Wu towards a button to shut off the power. As Wu tries to press the button, Ophelia and Garmadon arrive, the latter throwing Wu out of the window. "But your oath!" Pythor yelled in shock, "You swore you'd never fight!" "When you took my son, all bets were off," Garmadon said. "You're too late," Pythor said, jumping out the window onto a helicopter, "Your son's already ours." The ninja are still inside the system, struggling against the Overlord, who says he has been made infinite thanks to the power of technology, while the ninja were powered by the lie that the good guys always win. Hearing this Zane manages to gain golden power, encouraging the other ninja to use it to reflect the light of the reboot signal to the station, erasing the Overlord and freeing Wu from his control. When this happened the Mecha Dragon came falling out of the sky, Lloyd extremely weak and barely able to escape, ultimately finding a remote village and being rescued by the ninja.
