The story continues after Neil's passing and Abhimanyu's separation from Akshara. Arohi, a young woman whose life has lost its vitality, is enveloped in the depths of despair, her heart burdened by the absence of a departed love. With a month elapsed since Neil's demise, her pregnancy becomes the sole anchor to her existence, casting the rest of her world in monochrome. In this colorless reality, laughter becomes a distant memory, and the rooms echo with the silence of absence.

Her husband, once a beacon of light, was taken away prematurely, leaving an insurmountable void. Navigating the complexities of pregnancy alone, Arohi's world remains colorless, a stark contrast to the vibrant life she once knew.

Transformed into a mechanical being, Arohi refrains from engaging with others, choosing instead to confine herself to her room. Throughout the day, she remains fixated on Neil's photograph in her hands, while Shefali shoulders the responsibility of providing sustenance and medication.

One day, as Abhimanyu passes by Arohi's room, he discovers her unconscious on the floor, tightly clutching Neil's picture. Alarmed, he rushes her to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

The air is heavy with sorrow, and the Birla's and Goenka's are gripped by the apprehension of further loss, offering prayers for the safety of Arohi and her unborn child.

(Note: Arohi was three months pregnant at the time of Neil's demise.)

The doctor emerges from Arohi's room, prompting everyone to rush towards him in a mix of hope and apprehension.

"How's Arohi, Dr. Sen?" Abhimanyu inquires, while others stand by, their faces reflecting the collective concern.

With a solemn expression, Dr. Sen addresses Abhimanyu, "You are already a doctor, Dr. Abhimanyu. Arohi is suffering from chronic depression, and she hasn't left the house in a month, leading to a lack of activity that could negatively impact the baby. Her blood pressure is high, and unless she is kept away from stress, I regret to say that we may not be able to save either Arohi or her baby." With those words, Dr. Sen departs, leaving everyone in a somber state.

In a poignant reflection of the promise he made to Neil, Abhimanyu takes a decisive step forward, willingly embracing the responsibility of caring for Arohi from that moment onward.

Setting aside his own pain, Abhimanyu becomes completely engrossed in tending to Arohi. She responds to him with only a word or two, and the only occasions she ventures outside are for exercise or walks, always in his company. Occasionally, when she craves something to eat, she communicates her desires to Abhimanyu, who promptly fulfills her requests. Over the course of these three months, Abhimanyu finds solace in helping Arohi emerge from her cocoon, gradually forgetting his own emotional turmoil.

During this time, Arohi is a mere shadow of her former self, quiet and withdrawn. Yet, to Abhimanyu, she remains like a sudden burst of sunshine in a perpetually gray sky. After approximately four months of dedicated care, he witnesses a remarkable transformation. Arohi, who had been a ghost of herself, suddenly bursts into laughter at one of his jokes. The infectious sound of her laughter causes his heart to skip a beat, a sensation he hadn't experienced before. With his zest for life, Abhimanyu brings a palette of colors that seem eager to fill the void in Arohi's heart.
